Trento (city of Trento, Italy) - but only for one of the four mobility periods. The UniTrento teaching venue is stated verbatim in the Regolamento didattico: 'Le attivita' didattiche del CdS si svolgono presso PALAZZO PAOLO PRODI, VIA TOMMASO GAR 14 - TRENTO, nonche' presso le sedi degli Atenei del partenariato' - i.e. Palazzo Paolo Prodi, via Tommaso Gar 14, 38122 Trento, the seat of the School of International Studies (Scuola di Studi Internazionali), plus the campuses of the partner universities. No Rovereto and no San Michele all'Adige component. University legal address: via Calepina 14, 38122 Trento. FULL MOBILITY MAP (Pathway B, the UniTrento pathway; RAD art. and Regolamento art. 4 para 11): 1st mobility - University of Glasgow, Scotland, semester 1 of year 1 (September-December); 2nd mobility - UNIVERSITY OF TRENTO, semester 2 of year 1 (February-May, followed by a flexible period for exams and other activities); 3rd mobility - Charles University in Prague, semester 1 of year 2 (September-February); 4th mobility - dissertation semester (March-August) at one of the previous seats, chosen according to where the thesis supervisor or the internship is based. Pathway A is Glasgow - Dublin City University - Prague; Pathway C is Glasgow - Dublin - Belgrade (the consortium states Pathway C is 'Not available for 2026-2028 cohort' and that Belgrade courses are 'Available from 2027-29 cohort onwards'). The Trento pathway includes a compulsory two/three-day field trip to CoESPU (Center of Excellence for Stability Police Units, Carabinieri) in Vicenza. Students in Trento on Pathway B are 'given priority access to modern, university-run accommodation, subject to availability'. UniTrento contact for the programme: imsiss.sis@unitn.it. RESTRICTED / SELECTIVE ACCESS ('numero programmato'), operated ENTIRELY BY THE CONSORTIUM THROUGH THE UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW - there is no UniTrento admission call, no UniTrento application form and no UniTrento ranking for this programme. corsi.unitn.it labels the programme 'ACCESS: Programmed'; orienta.unitn.it states 'Ammissione: numero programmato' and links straight to https://www.securityintelligence-erasmusmundus.eu/apply/. The corsi.unitn.it site for this programme has NO 'Enrollment / Admission' section at all (only 'Program > Overview' and 'Program > Quality and outcomes'), unlike every other UniTrento master's degree; and the programme does NOT appear in UniTrento's own university-wide admission calls, nor in either fee group of UniTrento's tuition table for non-EU students on English-taught master's degrees. Selection is a competitive dossier evaluation by the IMSISS admissions committee: applicants apply once, online, through the University of Glasgow postgraduate application portal (https://www.gla.ac.uk/postgraduate/apply/), indicating their preferred study pathway; entry to Pathway B means the University of Trento. NO standardised entrance test of any kind - no TOLC, no SAT, no GRE, no GMAT and no written admission examination (see entry_exam_or_test). Two separate application streams with different deadlines: (i) the Erasmus Mundus SCHOLARSHIP stream, and (ii) the SELF-FUNDED stream (which is a single stream for International, EU and UK applicants - there is no separate EU vs non-EU procedure, unlike ordinary UniTrento programmes). Applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer from the University of Glasgow to be considered for the scholarship. Successful self-funded applicants must pay a GBP 2,000 deposit within four weeks (28 days) of the offer to secure the place; scholarship applicants are exempt from the deposit until the April scholarship announcements. Under the Regolamento art. 3, incoming transfers, internal course changes and second-year entry are NOT permitted, and 'Non e' possibile accedere al CdS oltre i termini previsti annualmente dal bando di ammissione' (no admission outside the annually published call deadlines).
Resmî Eğitim Dili
CATEGORY (1) - FULLY ENGLISH-TAUGHT. This is not an English percorso inside an Italian degree and it is not a mixed English/Italian curriculum. Evidence, in decreasing order of authority: (a) the ministerial course record (RAD) states verbatim 'Lingua in cui si tiene il corso: inglese'; (b) the corsi.unitn.it programme page 'IN SHORT' box states 'LANGUAGE: English'; (c) the University orientation portal orienta.unitn.it states 'Durata e lingua del corso: 2 anni, in lingua inglese'; (d) the School of International Studies states 'the degree is taught entirely in English with extensive opportunities for language learning (compulsory for those at the University of Trento)'; (e) the consortium FAQ states 'This programme is taught completely in English language.' Every course in the Trento semester carries an English title and is delivered in English (European & International Security Strategies, Intelligence Analysis & Policy Making, International Security and Strategic Studies, History and Politics of the Middle East, Geographies of Security, Civil Societies and Contentious Politics, International Law and Security / Human Rights, Natural Resources and Conflicts). IMPORTANT NUANCE ON ITALIAN - it is a GRADUATION requirement, not an admission requirement: the consortium states 'All non-Italian speakers must complete an Italian language course (mandatory - 4 ECTS)' and 'Previous knowledge of Italian is not required. The University of Trento will provide Italian classes for those who choose to study there.' The UniTrento study plan carries a compulsory 'other activity' worth 4 CFU chosen between 'Italian Language and Culture' (3 CFU, for foreign students without adequate knowledge of Italian) and 'Academic and Practitioner Writing Skills' (3 CFU, for students who already know Italian); corsi.unitn.it adds 'All non-Italian students must get a basic knowledge of Italian language in order to graduate... For students enrolled in the academic year 2024/25, the knowledge of the Italian language can be certified by passing the Italian Language and Culture examination offered by SIS. Students enrolled in the previous years have to take an A2 language exam.' SECOND NUANCE - a SECOND foreign language (not English, not Italian) at CEFR B2 is a hard ADMISSION requirement for the Trento pathway (see language_requirements). Teaching languages at the other consortium seats are also English (Glasgow, Prague, Dublin, Belgrade), with optional non-credit local-language courses.

There is NO separate EU deadline - the consortium runs ONE self-funded deadline covering International, EU and UK applicants. LATEST PUBLISHED OFFICIAL CYCLE (2026-2028 cohort, entry September 2026): applications OPENED on Wednesday 1 October 2025
ERASMUS MUNDUS SCHOLARSHIP deadline 8 JANUARY 2026 at 13:00 UK time
SELF-FUNDED applications (International, EU and UK) deadline 21 AUGUST 2026 at 23:59 UK time. Both dates are published identically on the consortium home page and, verbatim, on the UniTrento programme page ('Deadlines 2026-2028 - Scholarship applications: 8 January 2026 (13:00 UK time)

Same single consortium deadline as for EU applicants - 2026-2028 cohort: Erasmus Mundus SCHOLARSHIP 8 JANUARY 2026 at 13:00 UK time; SELF-FUNDED (explicitly 'International, EU and UK') 21 AUGUST 2026 at 23:59 UK time. There is NO UniTrento non-EU quota, no UniTrento non-EU call, no EUR 30 UniTrento application fee and no Universitaly pre-enrolment step run by UniTrento for this programme, because the first mobility and the administrative seat are in Glasgow: non-EU applicants deal with UK Student Route visa requirements first and then with Italian/Czech (and Irish or Serbian) residence permits for the subsequent mobilities. The consortium FAQ notes that under UKVI rules all non-EU applicants who are not from a majority-English-speaking country and have no degree from such a country must present an English test certificate with no exceptions ('You are not able to gain entry to the UK without having the test certificate'). Consortium visa guidance: https://www.securityintelligence-erasmusmundus.eu/student-experience/visa-information/ . 2027-2029 cohort dates not yet published as of 31 August 2026.

PLACES: neither UniTrento nor the consortium publishes a number of places, a UniTrento quota or a non-EU quota for this programme
UniTrento simply labels access 'Programmed'. The RAD records that in an earlier edition the consortium received 750 applications and 500 eligible candidates, with an applications-to-enrolled ratio close to 10:1. CONSORTIUM ENTRY STANDARD (the operative admission rule): 'A strict 2:1 UK Honours degree or international equivalent with backgrounds in humanities and social sciences, for example Politics, International Relations, History, Peace Studies, Area and Cultural Studies, Law, Sociology, Anthropology, Criminology, Human Geography, Computing Science, Literature, Philosophy, Organizational Studies, Social and Public Policy, Global Studies, Psychology, Media Studies and Journalism, Modern Languages, Economics, Environmental Studies, Management or Business.' A 2:2 may be considered where there is relevant work experience ('if there is a lower GPA but with work experience, applicants can be considered (if they have a degree in the above listed content)'), and the programme explicitly encourages applicants who have been in employment for some time. CRITICAL PATHWAY-B EXCLUSION: 'Applicants with backgrounds in COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING OR PHILOSOPHY will not be eligible for Pathway B (University of Trento)' - such applicants can only take Pathway A (Dublin). Applicants below the required academic standard are referred to Glasgow International College pre-Masters courses. UNITRENTO CURRICULAR REQUIREMENTS (RAD 'Conoscenze richieste per l'accesso' and Regolamento art. 2, the Italian-law layer that must also be satisfied): a three-year bachelor's degree or university diploma belonging to one of the Italian classes L-5 Filosofia, L-6 Geografia, L-10 Lettere, L-14 Scienze dei servizi giuridici, L-18 Scienze dell'Economia e della Gestione aziendale, L-33 Scienze economiche, L-36 Scienze politiche e delle relazioni internazionali, L-37 Scienze sociali per la cooperazione, lo sviluppo e la pace, L-40 Sociologia, L-42 Storia, 'o altro titolo acquisito all'estero e riconosciuto idoneo'; for holders of foreign qualifications or of qualifications from systems without CFU, the check is made by assessing the correspondence of the content of the courses taken with those disciplinary areas. PERSONAL PREPARATION (Regolamento art. 2 para 1 lett. c): 'voto di laurea di primo livello pari ad almeno 104/110 o votazione minima di 2.1 Honours o equivalente in caso di titolo estero' - a bachelor's final grade of at least 104/110, or a minimum of 2:1 Honours or equivalent for a foreign degree. Plus English at CEFR B2 and a second foreign language other than Italian at CEFR B2 (Regolamento art. 2 lett. d and e). NO TRANSFERS AND NO CREDIT RECOGNITION (Regolamento art. NO PART-TIME ENROLMENT is allowed (art. 5 para 4), because of the compulsory attendance and the three-country mobility. Maximum 12 exams plus 'other' activities and the final examination. STRUCTURE AND WORKLOAD: 120 CFU/ECTS over 2 years, 30 ECTS per mobility period
30 CFU are delivered in Trento. UniTrento year-1 compulsory courses (Trento semester): European & International Security Strategies (10 CFU, SPS/02), Intelligence Analysis & Policy Making (10, SPS/06), International Security and Strategic Studies (10, SPS/04), History and Politics of the Middle East: Conflicts, Ideologies and Democratisation (5, L-OR/10), Geographies of Security (5, M-GGR/02), Civil Societies and Contentious Politics (5, SPS/11), plus one of International Law and Security or Human Rights, Natural Resources and Conflicts (6, IUS/13); plus 4 CFU of compulsory 'other activities' (Italian Language and Culture, or Academic and Practitioner Writing Skills) and 6 CFU of free-choice courses. Free choice totals 12 CFU over the two years, of which at least 6 CFU must be taken at the Trento seat. Year 2 in Prague: five courses of 6 ECTS. Final semester: Independent Study Course worth 30 ECTS (dissertation 20,000 words = 20 ECTS / 65% of the grade; research proposal 1,500 words = 3 ECTS / 10%; research process reflection paper 1,500 words = 3 ECTS / 10%

ENGLISH - required of every applicant who is not from a majority-English-speaking country and who has not completed a degree taught in English. UniTrento's regulations require CEFR B2 ('buona padronanza della lingua inglese, almeno livello B2 del Quadro Comune Europeo di Riferimento'); in practice the binding standard is the University of Glasgow's, since the application is processed there. Accepted qualifications and minimum scores for entry to this programme (Glasgow, 2026/27 entry): IELTS Academic / Academic Online 6.5 overall with no subtest below 6.0
TOEFL iBT / MyBest / At Home taken up to 20 January 2026 - 90 overall with no subtest lower than Reading 20, Listening 19, Speaking 19, Writing 21, and taken from 21 January 2026 - 92 overall with no subtest lower than Reading 22, Listening 20, Speaking 23, Writing 21
Pearson PTE Academic 65 overall with no subtest below Reading 60, Listening 60, Speaking 65, Writing 60
Sınav / değerlendirme
NO ENTRANCE EXAMINATION OF ANY KIND. There is no TOLC, no CISIA test, no UniTrento admission test, no SAT/GRE/GMAT, no written paper and no admission interview documented for this programme. Admission is decided on the submitted dossier by the IMSISS admissions committee at the University of Glasgow. The only 'tests' involved are language certificates: (a) an English-language proficiency test, required of applicants who are not from a majority-English-speaking country and who did not complete a degree taught in English (accepted tests and scores listed under language_requirements; the Glasgow rule is that tests must have been taken within 2 years 5 months of the programme start date); (b) evidence of a SECOND language at CEFR B2 for Pathway B (Trento), which may equally be satisfied by a school-leaving or degree certificate obtained in that language, so no test is strictly necessary. THE SCHOLARSHIP RANKING, by contrast, is scored: Erasmus Mundus scholarship applicants are ranked on Personal Statement 40%, Academic Merit 30%, and other factors such as research and professional experience 30%; references are explicitly excluded from the scholarship assessment but are taken into account for entry to the programme. Once enrolled, assessment at UniTrento is 'continuous assessment' (written papers, policy/analysis documents, oral presentations, simulations, group debates), graded out of 30 with a pass mark of 18, and grades from Glasgow and Prague are converted into the Italian /30 scale using the conversion table in art. 4 para 9 of the Regolamento didattico. The final examination (dissertation of 20,000 words, plus a 1,500-word research proposal and a 1,500-word research process reflection paper, worth 30 ECTS in total) is governed entirely by the University of Glasgow's final-examination regulations, and 'La graduation will be managed by the University of Glasgow'; to obtain the Italian degree as well, students must additionally enrol in the first available SIS graduation session after their thesis defence.
3. Hazırlanacak belgeler
Exhaustive checklist quoted from the consortium 'Apply' page - all documents must be uploaded online with the Glasgow application; 'We cannot accept email submissions of your supporting documents': (1) a copy (or copies) of the official degree certificate(s), if the degree is already completed
(2) a copy (or copies) of the official academic transcript(s), showing full details of subjects studied and grades/marks obtained
(3) official English translations of the certificate(s) and transcript(s)
1) THIS IS NOT AN ORDINARY UNITRENTO PROGRAMME AND MUST NOT BE PROCESSED LIKE ONE. UniTrento is one of four (from 2027, five) degree-awarding partners in an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree whose administrative seat is the University of Glasgow. Applicants NEVER apply to UniTrento: there is no UniTrento call ('bando'), no UniTrento online admission form, no EU/non-EU split, no UniTrento non-EU quota, no EUR 30 UniTrento application fee, no CIMEA/Universitaly step run by UniTrento and no UniTrento ranking. Everything - application, offer, deposit, enrolment, fee payment, dissertation regulations and graduation - runs through Glasgow. The task brief anticipated this; the consortium site https://www.securityintelligence-erasmusmundus.eu/ has therefore been used as a primary source alongside the UniTrento documents, and UniTrento's own pages explicitly delegate to it ('For more detailed information about the program, including application requirements and deadlines, please visit the IMSISS website'). Structural confirmation: the corsi.unitn.it site for this programme has no 'Enrollment/Admission' menu at all - only 'Program > Overview' and 'Program > Quality and outcomes'. 2) THE DECISIVE PRACTICAL BARRIER IS THE SECOND-LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT, NOT ITALIAN. Unlike most UniTrento master's degrees, Italian is NOT an admission requirement here (it is only a graduation requirement, satisfied by a 3-4 CFU Italian Language and Culture course taken during the Trento semester). What IS a hard admission requirement, and unique to Pathway B (Trento), is documented proficiency at CEFR B2 in a SECOND language that is neither English nor Italian, at the point of application. A Turkish applicant normally satisfies this with a Turkish-medium secondary-school diploma or Turkish-medium bachelor's degree, but the evidence must be uploaded. 3) A SECOND HARD PATHWAY-B EXCLUSION: applicants whose degree background is COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING OR PHILOSOPHY are explicitly ineligible for Pathway B (Trento) and can only be admitted to Pathway A (Glasgow-Dublin-Prague). Note the internal tension in the consortium's own text: Computing Science and Philosophy both appear in the list of acceptable backgrounds for the programme as a whole, and are then excluded from Pathway B. 4) [uncertain] NUMBER OF PLACES NOT PUBLISHED. UniTrento labels access 'Programmed' but publishes no number of places, no Trento-pathway quota and no non-EU quota; the consortium publishes no cohort size either. The only quantitative indications found are historical and indirect: the RAD records a previous edition with '750 application e 500 idonei' and an applications-to-enrolled ratio close to 10:1, and the funding announcement of 70 fully funded scholarships spread over the four cohorts 2026-2029 (50 regular + up to 20 region-targeted). 5) [uncertain] 2027/2028 ADMISSION CYCLE NOT YET PUBLISHED. As of 31 August 2026 the latest published cycle is the 2026-2028 cohort (September 2026 entry, applications opened 1 October 2025, scholarship deadline 8 January 2026, self-funded deadline 21 August 2026 - which had just closed at the time of research). The consortium has not published September 2027 dates; by the 2026 pattern they should appear around 1 October 2026. Both deadline fields therefore report the most recent official cycle, as instructed, with the 2027 extrapolation flagged. 6) [uncertain] TUITION AND FEES - the UniTrento side is unclear by omission. IMSISS students pay a single consortium tuition fee to the University of Glasgow (GBP 9,654 / EUR 11,360 per annum for Home/UK/EU, GBP 19,570 / EUR 23,030 per annum for International, 2026-28 cohort), and the Erasmus Mundus scholarship covers it in full. The programme does NOT appear in either Group A or Group B of UniTrento's published tuition table for non-EU students on English-taught master's degrees, although the School of International Studies' two other master's degrees (MEIS and MISS) are listed there. The natural reading is that IMSISS students pay no separate UniTrento tuition, but NO OFFICIAL UNITRENTO SENTENCE STATING THIS WAS FOUND, so tuition_or_fees_link reports the consortium fee page as operative and flags the UniTrento position as unverified. 7) DISCREPANCY IN THE OFFICIAL DESCRIPTIONS OF THE MOBILITY PATTERN. The RAD, the Regolamento didattico, the corsi.unitn.it overview and the consortium 'Programme Structure' page all describe four periods with ONE semester in Trento (semester 2 of year 1, February-May) and semester 3 in Prague. The consortium FAQ, however, says: 'From September 2026 onwards, the programme will run as follows: 4 months in Glasgow (UK), 8 MONTHS in Dublin (Ireland) or Trento (Italy) with a mandatory summer school. Students will then spend their FINAL YEAR in Prague (Czechia) or Belgrade (Serbia).' This suggests a lengthened second mobility plus a summer school from the 2026-2028 cohort, which the Italian regulatory documents (written for the 2025/2026 cohort) do not yet reflect. Applicants should confirm the exact calendar with imsiss@glasgow.ac.uk. 8) CONSORTIUM MEMBERSHIP IS IN TRANSITION. The RAD's formal 'Atenei in convenzione' table names only Glasgow and Charles University Prague (convention of 03/12/2018); the Regolamento names four partners (Glasgow, Prague, Dublin City, Trento); the consortium website and the SIS page name five, adding the University of Belgrade. Belgrade is stated to be 'Available from 2027-29 cohort onwards' and Pathway C is 'Not available for 2026-2028 cohort' and 'subject to final accreditation'. The task brief's partner list (Glasgow + Dublin City + Charles Prague + Belgrade) is correct for the current consortium, with Trento as the fifth member. 9) SOURCE ACCESS METHOD (relevant to reproducibility). corsi.unitn.it, www.unitn.it and unitn.coursecatalogue.cineca.it are behind an AWS WAF and returned HTTP 403/405 to every direct request. The corsi.unitn.it programme home page was read through an Internet Archive raw ('id_') snapshot dated 18 May 2026; the RAD PDF through an Internet Archive raw snapshot dated 7 March 2026 (8 pages, text-extracted in full); the Regolamento didattico PDF (25 pages, DR 792/2025), the corsi.unitn.it 'IMSISS at UniTrento' overview page (page timestamp 30 June 2026) and the UniTrento non-EU fee page were read live through a text-extraction reader proxy on 31 August 2026. www.sis.unitn.it and orienta.unitn.it were reachable live and directly on 31 August 2026 and were used as independent same-day confirmation. The consortium and Glasgow pages were read live on 31 August 2026; the consortium site intermittently serves a bot-challenge page, so some pages were read through two different fetchers. 10) NOT VERIFIED / OUT OF SCOPE: the exact 2026-27 Trento elective list (the consortium states the optional-course list is 'indicative only' and that 'A full list of available courses will be made available in advance of registration usually around August/September'); the annual UniTrento Manifesto degli studi for this programme; whether any UniTrento-side registration or fee formality applies to Pathway B students during their Trento semester; and whether a selection interview is ever used (none is documented for either entry or the scholarship). The programme's non-admission extras - CoESPU field trip, summer schools, BEF Forum, EU-US Young Leaders Seminar, Cyber 9/12, GLOBE, Gaming Lab, KNOWMAD OSINT training, and the student-run think tank The Security Distillery - are post-enrolment opportunities and are not part of the admission requirements.

Tuition and fees link note: The OPERATIVE fee page is the consortium's, not UniTrento's, because IMSISS students pay a single consortium tuition fee to the University of Glasgow: https://www.securityintelligence-erasmusmundus.eu/scholarships-fees-and-funding/tuition-fees/ (index page https://www.securityintelligence-erasmusmundus.eu/scholarships-fees-funding/ ; other funding https://www.securityintelligence-erasmusmundus.eu/scholarships-fees-and-funding/other-funding-opportunities/ ). AMOUNTS, quoted verbatim - 2026-28 cohort: 'Home/UK/EU: GBP 9,654 / EUR 11,360 per annum'; 'International: GBP 19,570 / EUR 23,030 per annum'. Previous cohorts, for reference: 2025-27 Home/UK GBP 9,650, EU/EEA GBP 11,920, International GBP 19,000 per annum; 2024-26 UK GBP 9,000, EU/EEA GBP 11,265, International GBP 18,060; 2023-25 EU and UK GBP 8,540, International GBP 16,640; 2022-24 EU (incl. UK) EUR 9,320 / GBP 8,100, International EUR 17,643 / GBP 15,333. 'Tuition Fees are set annually for the next year's incoming cohort and are maintained for each student cohort'; fees are converted with the Erasmus Mundus approved currency converter; 'a GBP 2000 deposit will be required within four weeks of an offer being made to secure a place on the programme.' Accommodation and living costs are separate from the tuition fee; the consortium pays health/travel insurance for all students (University of Glasgow Erasmus Mundus Travel Insurance, provided by AIG, valid for the two years). ERASMUS MUNDUS SCHOLARSHIPS: the consortium has secured funding for 70 fully funded scholarships for entry between 2026 and 2029 - 50 'regular' scholarships plus up to 20 additional scholarships targeted at specific regions, across four editions. The scholarship covers full tuition fees including the deposit, travel insurance, optional assistance with visas, residence permits and temporary accommodation, and a monthly living allowance for the whole 24 months, offered as either EUR 1,275 per month after three advance payments of EUR 1,000, or EUR 1,400 per month with no upfront travel payments. Applicants must already hold a conditional or unconditional Glasgow offer; previous EMJM scholarship holders are ineligible; ranking is Personal Statement 40% / Academic Merit 30% / other factors 30%; scholarship results are announced in April.
