Kabul Tipi

Two entirely separate procedures, depending on applicant category. (1) EUROPEANS AND EQUIVALENTS: free/open access (accesso libero) - there is no numero programmato and no fixed quota - but admission is NOT automatic: a Committee must verify curricular requirements and personal preparation, which is done through a written admission examination and, where applicable, an interview (which may be held online). Applications run in rolling sessions (July, September, November). (2) NON-EUROPEAN CITIZENS LIVING OUTSIDE ITALY: restricted access through a public selection call ('selezione pubblica') with a fixed quota of 5 places, based on evaluation of qualifications (pre-evaluation up to 60 points) followed by an online written selection test (up to 40 points). No TOLC and no SAT are used for either route.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

Fully English. The official language of the degree programme is English, confirmed both on the programme page ('LANGUAGE: English') and in the binding Italian text of the 2026/2027 admission call ('La lingua ufficiale del corso di studio e l'inglese'). There is no Italian-language percorso or mixed English/Italian track for this Master's degree: all four curricula (Advanced Mathematics; Cryptography; Mathematics and Statistics for Life and Social Sciences; Mathematics and Informatics Education) are delivered in English. The curriculum itself contains a compulsory 3 CFU 'Further knowledge of English language (C1)' unit, which further confirms the English-medium nature of the programme. Note that the separate three-year Bachelor's degree in 'Matematica' at UniTrento is Italian-taught and is admitted through a completely different TOLC-S call - it must not be confused with this English-taught LM.

All deadlines are strict and missing any of them results in losing the place.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş
  • EUROPEANS AND EQUIVALENTS - Degree: a bachelor's degree or equivalent academic qualification of at least three years' duration, obtained in Italy or abroad and recognised as suitable, providing (a) a solid theoretical and practical knowledge of linear algebra and some of its applications, (b) a solid theoretical and practical knowledge of the basic tools of mathematical analysis (limits, functions, continuity, derivatives, integrals) and some of their applications, and (c) a thorough theoretical and practical introduction to the scientific method and logical-deductive reasoning. Curricular requirement: the study path must include at least 60 ECTS in scientific disciplinary sectors (SSD) of the MATH group. Additional SSDs subject to case-by-case evaluation by the Committee, provided the syllabus demonstrates mathematical content: PHYS (Physics), STAT (Statistics), INFO/01 (Informatics). For degrees obtained abroad or under a system not based on ECTS, the Committee verifies the coherence of course contents and learning outcomes with the disciplinary fields above. Personal background is verified by a written exam and, if necessary, an interview. Exemption from the written exam: applicants who hold, or plan to earn before enrolment, a bachelor's degree in the Italian L-35 class AND have a weighted average above 24/30 at the time of application (a grade of '30 cum laude' counts as 31). The interview is ALWAYS mandatory for candidates choosing the Cryptography curriculum, and may also be requested for candidates exempted from the written exam or who received a positive evaluation. Possible outcomes of the Committee's verification: unconditional admission to one or more curricula; admission to a specific curriculum with an individual study plan agreed with the Committee; or non-admission (in which case the Committee indicates a learning path to acquire the missing requirements, and may allow a second verification attempt in the same academic year). Applicants may apply before graduating, but must fulfil all requirements by the enrolment deadline.
  • NON-EUROPEAN CITIZENS LIVING ABROAD - Quota: 5 places reserved for non-EU citizens not resident in Italy for a.y. 2026/2027. Degree: a bachelor's degree of at least 3 years in Mathematics (Italian class L-35) or in any Mathematics-related field awarded by an internationally recognised university, with a study plan consistent with the programme's didactic regulations; eligibility of foreign qualifications is assessed by the selection committee (at least 3 members of the Department of Mathematics, appointed by rectoral decree). The degree must be obtained by 30 June 2026 (or by 31 October 2026 for non-Europeans graduating at Italian universities holding a valid Italian study residence permit). Pre-evaluation scoring, out of 60 points: coherence between the previous bachelor's degree and the objectives of the Master in Mathematics 0-25; curriculum studiorum (exam average or degree mark, performance and evaluations obtained in previous studies, any post-graduate courses, other extra-academic activities) 0-20; personal written statement in English 0-10; further language competences beyond the minimum requirement 0-5. Candidates scoring 30/60 or more are admitted to the written selection test. Final ranking out of 100: pre-evaluation 0-60 plus written test 0-40. Candidates scoring below 20/40 on the written test are declared not eligible. A final score of at least 50/100 is required to be eligible for admission; in case of a tie, priority goes to the younger candidate. Scholarships: non-European candidates at the top of the ranking who achieve at least 70/100 may be awarded a scholarship; the number of scholarships is disclosed only when the ranking is published, no separate application is needed, scholarship holders are exempt from tuition fees, and the UniTrento scholarship is not compatible with MAECI, Universita a colori-Unicolor or Invest your Talent in Italy scholarships. Tuition fees for non-EU students are capped at EUR 6,000 per year and reduced by merit: full waiver for 90-100/100, EUR 1,000 for 70-89.99, EUR 2,000 for 60-69.99, EUR 4,500 for 50-59.99. Second-year fees depend on ECTS earned by 10 August 2027 (waiver for >=42 ECTS, EUR 1,000 for 36-41, EUR 2,000 for 24-35, EUR 4,500 for 6-23, EUR 6,000 for fewer than 6).
Dil yeterliliği
  • English at CEFR level B2 (full B2, all four skills) is mandatory for all applicants; there is no Italian language requirement for admission since the programme is entirely English-taught. For non-EU applicants the B2 level must be held by the call deadline of 4 March 2026. Accepted proofs: (a) an internationally recognised language certificate accepted by UniTrento (list published by the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo at cla.unitn.it/node/780)
  • (b) having passed a university exam certifying English at B2 level or higher as part of the bachelor's degree programme, provided all four language skills were assessed
  • (c) a written statement issued by the awarding institution certifying that English is the official teaching language of the degree programme
Sınav / değerlendirme
  • No TOLC and no SAT. EUROPEANS AND EQUIVALENTS: a written admission examination on the fundamentals of Analysis and Linear Algebra and, depending on the chosen curriculum, other subjects
  • UniTrento publishes an official syllabus for the part common to all curricula plus syllabi for the curriculum-specific parts, and past exam papers (2019, 2020, 2021, 2023) and sample questions as preparation material. Candidates holding (or about to hold) an Italian L-35 bachelor's degree with a weighted average above 24/30 are exempt from the written exam. A possible interview, which may be held online, is additionally provided: always for candidates choosing the Cryptography curriculum, and in other cases when requested by the Committee, either after passing the written exam or as an orientation interview for those exempted from it. Exam and interview calendar for 2026: July session - written exam 6 July, interviews 9-14 July
  • September session - written exam 21 September, interviews 24-29 September

Hazırlanacak belgeler

    • NON-EUROPEAN CITIZENS (online application via the UniTrento Apply portal): (a) a copy of a valid passport, personal-data pages with photo only
    • (b) a copy of the bachelor's degree certificate, or a certificate of enrolment stating the expected graduation date - full information on the grading scale is required, otherwise the application will not be considered
    • (c) a copy of the transcript of academic records listing all courses, examinations taken, marks obtained, the weighted average mark and the minimum-to-maximum range of marks

  • 1) WAF/ACCESS: corsi.unitn.it and www.unitn.it sit behind an AWS WAF that returns HTTP 405 with 'x-amzn-waf-action: captcha' on direct fetches; the CAPTCHA was deliberately not bypassed. All corsi.unitn.it content above was retrieved through a public read-only text-extraction proxy that renders the same public pages and PDFs, so the content is the live official text but was not read from a direct browser session. webapps.unitn.it/Apply was reached directly: both application endpoints (AmmMat26 for EU/equivalents, Maths2026nonEU for non-EU) exist and are live but login-gated, so the live in-portal dates could not be cross-checked. 2) STALE ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE NON-EU CALL - IMPORTANT: the English-language PDF 'admission-call-master-mathematics-26-27.pdf' (published 22 December 2025, i.e. for a.y. 2026/2027) still contains substantial un-updated text from the previous edition: its header says 'Academic year 2025/26', it gives the application window as '20 December 2024 to 6 March 2025', the graduation deadline as 30 June 2025, the arrival deadline as 30 September 2025, the second-year credit deadline as 10 August 2025, the English requirement as 'at least B1 level', the pre-evaluation eligibility threshold as '30/100' and the scholarship threshold as 70/100. The binding Italian version ('The only binding version is the Italian one', and it is the annex to the Rectoral Decree of 17 December 2025) gives the correct 2026/2027 values, which are the ones reported in this record: B2 complete, deadline 4 March 2026, 30 June 2026 / 31 October 2026 graduation, visa by 31 October 2026, 30/60 pre-evaluation threshold, second-year credits by 10 August 2027. Anyone relying on the English PDF alone would be misinformed. 3) SEPARATE CALL DOCUMENT MIX-UP RISK: the file 'call-admission-math-physics-26-27_eng.pdf' on corsi.unitn.it is NOT a Master's call - it is the joint admission call for the Italian-language three-year BACHELOR degrees in Fisica and Matematica, admitted via the TOLC-S test, and it explicitly states 'This admission call regulates the admission process for the following Italian-language Degree Courses'. It must not be cited as the EU/equivalents call for this Master's degree. (Note for the parent task: the existing Physics.json record in this results folder cites that same PDF as the Physics Master's EU call, which appears to be an error worth re-checking.) 4) NO SEPARATE EU CALL PDF: for Europeans and equivalents this Master's degree has no downloadable admission call; the entire procedure, session calendar and requirements are published only as webpage content on the 'Admission and enrollment for Europeans and equivalents' page, so there is no PDF of record for that route. 5) CAMPUS DETAIL: the Povo location is certain (Department of Mathematics, Povo campus, Trento; Student Support at Via Sommarive 5, Povo), but the exact street number of the Department of Mathematics building (commonly given as Via Sommarive 14) was not confirmed on an official page during this research and is marked uncertain. 6) CV FORMAT: the binding Italian call asks only for a 'curriculum vitae et studiorum in lingua inglese', while the English translation additionally prescribes the 'European'/Europass model; the Europass requirement may therefore be a leftover from the older edition rather than a binding 2026/27 rule. 7) SCHOLARSHIP COUNT: the number of scholarships available to non-EU candidates is not published in advance - the call states it is disclosed only at the moment the ranking is published - so no figure can be given. 8) CYCLE ALREADY PARTLY CONCLUDED: as of the research date (31 August 2026) the non-EU 2026/2027 selection is complete (the list of candidates admitted to the written test was published in April 2026 and the final ranking in May 2026), while the EU/equivalents September and November 2026 sessions are still open; applicants targeting the next intake should expect an equivalent call to be published around December 2026. 9) TEACHING LANGUAGE - the concern in the task notes that the official list may mark English inconsistently was checked and resolved: English is confirmed independently by the programme page field 'LANGUAGE: English' and by Art. 1 c.2 of the binding Italian call. The residual ambiguity is only cosmetic - the programme is registered under the Italian name 'Matematica', several supporting documents (past admission papers, sample questions) are published in Italian only, and the Italian-taught Bachelor in Matematica shares the name; none of these affect the English-medium status of the Master's degree itself.
