TWO DIFFERENT REGIMES, depending on citizenship/residence - there is NO TOLC, no SAT and no written entrance exam in either. (A) EUROPEANS AND EQUIVALENTS: OPEN / FREE ACCESS ('ACCESS: Free' on the programme card). There is no numero programmato and no ranking; admission is granted once the qualification, curricular and English-language requirements are verified through a compulsory online admission request (all applicants must submit it, including students already enrolled at UniTrento and those who already meet every requirement). The outcome is communicated by email within one month of submission. (B) NON-EUROPEANS LIVING OUTSIDE ITALY: RESTRICTED ACCESS via a public selection call based on qualifications and merit (selezione per titoli), with a fixed number of seats - 60 places for a.y. 2026/2027, of which 20 are reserved for candidates selected under the EIT programme (EMAI4EU double degree). Candidates are scored out of 100 by a DISI selection committee of at least three members appointed by Rectoral Decree; those scoring 50/100 or more are eligible, ties are broken in favour of the youngest candidate, and a merit ranking list is published. An interview may be requested only if the uploaded documents do not allow the committee to assess the candidacy adequately.
Resmî Eğitim Dili
English. Case (1) in the classification: the programme is delivered entirely in English. It is not an English percorso/track of an Italian-language degree and it has no Italian-language twin. The corsi.unitn.it programme card shows a single value 'LANGUAGE: English'; Annex 2 of the 2026 Programme Regulations states 'Tutti i corsi sono erogati in lingua inglese' ('All courses are delivered in English') for all four curricula; the DISI admission call is titled 'Call for Applications for admission to the Master's Degree Programs ... taught in English'. NOTE: although teaching is 100% in English, students who are not Italian citizens must certify Italian at CEFR level A1 before the end of the programme (Art. 4 clause 11 of the 2026 Programme Regulations) - this is an in-course graduation requirement, not an admission requirement, and it does not apply to double-degree students.

2. Kabul koşulları
Akademik geçmiş
1) QUALIFICATION: a first-cycle (Bachelor's) degree or a university diploma of at least three years' duration obtained in Italy, or another qualification obtained abroad and recognised as suitable. Deadline for obtaining it: 30 June 2026 for non-Europeans graduating outside Italy; 31 October 2026 for Europeans and Equivalents and for non-Europeans graduating from an Italian university who hold a valid Italian study residence permit. 2) CURRICULAR REQUIREMENTS (identical in the call and in the Programme Regulations, and identical for EU and non-EU candidates): (a) holders of an Italian degree in class L-8 (Ingegneria dell'informazione), L-9 (Ingegneria industriale) or L-31 (Scienze e tecnologie informatiche) automatically meet the curricular requirements; (b) holders of a degree in any other class must have at least 36 ECTS in the sectors CHIM/03, CHIM/06, CHIM/07, FIS/01 to FIS/03, MAT/01 to MAT/09, SECS-S/01 (in the new GSD coding of the 2026 regulations: 03/CHEM-01, 03/CHEM-03, 02/PHYS-01 to 02/PHYS-03, 01/MATH-01 to 01/MATH-06, 13/STAT-01) AND at least 12 ECTS in the sectors INF/01 or ING-INF/05 (new GSD coding: 01/INF-01 or 09/IINF-05); (c) holders of a degree from a system that does not use ECTS, or of another qualification recognised as suitable, have their curricular requirements verified by assessing the consistency of course contents and learning objectives with those sectors and by verifying adequate knowledge in seven subjects: Mathematical Analysis; Geometry and Linear Algebra; Discrete Mathematics; Probability and Statistics; Physics (classical mechanics, electricity and electromagnetism); Programming (imperative and object-oriented programming, interpreted vs compiled languages, elements of databases, basics of software project development); Algorithms and Data Structures (optimisation problems, lists and trees, sorting algorithms, elementary computational complexity). NOTE: the non-European admission webpage additionally states that within an L-8/L-9/L-31 degree at least 12 ECTS in INF/01 or ING-INF/05 are needed. 3) PERSONAL PREPARATION: the adequacy of the candidate's personal preparation is verified by the committee on the basis of the subjects listed above plus English at B2. 4) SEATS: for Europeans and Equivalents there is NO seat limit (free access). For non-Europeans living outside Italy, 60 places for a.y. 2026/2027, of which 20 are reserved for candidates selected under the EIT programme; 6 scholarships were made available for a.y. 2026/2027 (stated in the published ranking list). 5) NO fixed GPA threshold is published - previous marks and results are scored within the 0-65 'curriculum studiorum' criterion for non-Europeans, and the overall eligibility threshold is 50/100. Europeans and Equivalents face no scoring at all. 6) SELF-DECLARATION OF EXAMS (Europeans and Equivalents studying or graduated at another university): the online admission request must include a self-declaration of exams taken listing, for each exam, the Scientific Disciplinary Sector (SSD), the CFU/credits, the date taken, the final grade and the syllabus (detailed course programme). 7) SECOND-YEAR ENTRY / TRANSFERS: governed by the separate DISI document 'Guidelines for second year admission Master's degrees, Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science' (https://corsi.unitn.it/sites/cds/files/2025-07/linee-guida-ammissione-anno-2-lm-disi-2024.pdf). 8) DOUBLE DEGREE: access via the EMotion Artificial Intelligence specialists for Europe (EMAI4EU) / EIT Digital double degree is defined annually by the departments under the reciprocal agreements with the partner universities and normally carries specific entry requirements, path rules and additional ECTS. 9) SCHOLARSHIPS (non-Europeans only): awarded to top-ranked candidates scoring at least 70/100; recipients are exempt from tuition fees; the grant is a partial contribution to mobility costs paid only after arrival in Italy and may be renewed in the second year on merit; it is not compatible with MAECI, Universita a colori-Unicolor or Invest your Talent in Italy scholarships. No separate scholarship application is required.

ENGLISH B2 FOR ADMISSION; ITALIAN A1 BEFORE GRADUATION (non-Italian citizens only). ADMISSION - English at least CEFR B2 is required of all candidates. Non-Europeans may evidence it in any of these ways (Annex 1 of the 2026/2027 DISI call): an English language qualification awarded by an internationally recognised entity (see the accepted certificates on the UniTrento Centre for Languages - CLA webpage https://www.cla.unitn.it/node/780; the selection committee may also evaluate certificates that do not match those criteria); or having passed a B2-or-higher English exam at another university, provided all four skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening) were tested; or a declaration from the university that awarded the Bachelor's/Master's degree proving the degree was officially taught in English; or declaring in the online application to be a citizen of an English-speaking country. The non-European admission webpage phrases the same list as: a copy of the English certificate; a written statement from the university that English is the official teaching language of the degree; a self-declaration of coming from an English-speaking country; a self-declaration of having graduated in an English-speaking country. Europeans and Equivalents may evidence B2 either by having passed a university English B2 exam within their degree programme, or by a language certificate recognised by UniTrento; if they hold neither, they may take and pass the English test at the CLA before enrolment (six sessions in 2026 - see entry_exam_or_test) and must then email the Student Support Service to proceed with enrolment. No numeric IELTS/TOEFL threshold is published in the call - the requirement is expressed purely as CEFR B2 and the equivalences live in the separately maintained CLA list. Graduates of Italian universities submit a self-declaration under D.P.R. 445/2000; UniTrento students/graduates do not have to upload the document. Additional English proficiency above B2 (or knowledge of other languages) earns non-European candidates up to 5 of the 100 selection points. NO ITALIAN IS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION. IN-COURSE ITALIAN REQUIREMENT: Art. 4 clause 11 of the 2026 Programme Regulations requires students who do not hold Italian citizenship to certify knowledge of Italian at CEFR level A1 before the end of the programme, by producing a suitable certificate of equivalent or higher level issued by an official body recognised by the Department or by the CLA, or by attending the course and passing the Italian exam at the CLA. This requirement does not apply to students on double-degree programmes.
Sınav / değerlendirme
No entrance exam and no TOLC/SAT. (A) Europeans and Equivalents: no test at all - only a documentary verification of qualification, curricular credits and English level through the online admission request. (B) Non-Europeans: selection entirely on documents (valutazione per titoli), scored out of 100 by the DISI selection committee under Art. 3.5 of the call - (a) coherence between the candidate's previous studies and the objectives of the Master's Degree: max 30 points
(b) curriculum studiorum (marks and results in previous studies, post-graduate courses if any, extra-academic activities): max 65 points
(c) additional language skills (English above B2, or knowledge of other languages): max 5 points. Eligibility threshold 50/100; tie-break in favour of the youngest candidate. The committee may meet online and may require an interview only if the uploaded documentation is insufficient to assess the candidacy. SEPARATE OPTIONAL TEST: Europeans and Equivalents who cannot document English B2 may sit and pass the English test at the UniTrento University Language Centre (CLA) before enrolment - written part in person in Trento at the CLA, speaking part online. Six sessions in 2026: registration 27 March-20 April (written 27 April 14.30, speaking 8 May)
3. Hazırlanacak belgeler
NON-EUROPEANS (uploaded within the online application; an official English translation is required for any document not in Italian or English; illegible documents are not considered and incomplete or unsubmitted applications are excluded): 1) a copy of a valid passport, personal-data pages with photo only
2) a copy of the Bachelor's degree certificate if already awarded, OR a certificate of enrolment stating the expected graduation date (graduates of Italian universities submit a self-declaration under D.P.R. 445/2000
1) PROGRAMME EXISTENCE - CONFIRMED. The task note flagged that this programme might not exist and might have to be removed from the list. It DOES exist and it must be KEPT. The Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence Systems (AIS) is an active, accredited UniTrento programme run by the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI): it appears in the official orienta.unitn.it programme list as 'Artificial Intelligence System (LM32)' under DISI; it has its own corsi.unitn.it programme site with a full navigation tree; it has 2026/2027 Programme Regulations issued with Rectoral Decree n. 639/2026/RET of 13 July 2026; it is one of the three degrees covered by the 2026/2027 DISI non-EU admission call (Annex 15 to Rectoral Decree 1530|2025|RET of 17 December 2025); it has a published 2026/2027 educational offer/manifesto and a published 2026/2027 non-EU ranking list. It is 100% English-taught. 2) DO NOT CONFUSE WITH DATA SCIENCE. AIS (LM-32, DISI, free access for EU, 60 non-EU seats) is a completely separate programme from the interdepartmental Data Science master (LM-DATA, administrative seat at the Department of Sociology and Social Research, restricted access with 56 total seats and two calls). They share no call, no regulations and no seats. 3) TWO DIFFERENT ADMISSION REGIMES IN ONE PROGRAMME. The programme card says 'ACCESS: Free', which is accurate only for Europeans and Equivalents. Non-Europeans living outside Italy face a genuinely restricted, competitive selection with 60 seats, a hard 4 March 2026 deadline, a 30 EUR application fee, a 100-point scoring grid, a 50/100 eligibility threshold and a published ranking. A reader who takes 'Free access' at face value will miss the non-EU deadline. 4) SOURCE ACCESS. corsi.unitn.it, offertaformativa.unitn.it and www.unitn.it return HTTP 405 Method Not Allowed to direct automated requests (WAF/Cloudflare). All content above - both admission-call PDFs, the 34-page Programme Regulations, the 2026/27 manifesto, the ranking list and the tuition-fee pages - was retrieved through a plain-text rendering proxy of the same official URLs and cross-checked between the binding Italian call, the English courtesy translation and the corsi.unitn.it webpages. 5) ENGLISH CALL IS A COURTESY AI-ASSISTED TRANSLATION. The English PDF carries an explicit disclaimer: only the Italian version is legally binding, and the translation was 'produced with the support of AI-assisted tools'. It contains visible defects - Art. 3 is headed 'Confermation', the Annex 1 heading for Information Engineering is left in Italian ('Corso di laurea magistrale in Information Engineering'), part of Annex 1 point (c) for Information Engineering is left untranslated in Italian, the Italian index line for Annex 1 refers only to 'Corso di laurea magistrale in Informatica', and the criterion (a) sentence is truncated ('objectives of the Master's Degree in (max 30 points)'). None of these affects the AIS figures, which match the Italian binding version exactly (60 posti, 20 EIT, 30 CFU-group thresholds, 4 marzo 2026, 30/100-65/100-5/100). 6) CURRICULAR-REQUIREMENT WORDING DIFFERENCE. The non-European admission WEBPAGE adds a sentence not present in either version of the call: 'In all of these degrees it is neeeded to have completed at least 12 ECTS (credits) in the sectors INF/01 or ING-INF/05', applying the 12-ECTS informatics threshold also to L-8/L-9/L-31 graduates. Both the binding Italian call and the 2026 Programme Regulations state that an L-8/L-9/L-31 degree ALONE satisfies the curricular requirements. Candidates in those classes with fewer than 12 ECTS in INF/01 or ING-INF/05 should contact stem.admissions.int@unitn.it rather than rely on either wording. The webpage also contains typos ('neeeded', 'calssification'). 7) FEE PAGE HEADER IS STALE. www.unitn.it/en/node/1023 is headed 'Fees amount for 2025-2026', but the Group B figures it lists (waiver / 1,000 / 3,000 / 6,500, max 10,000) are identical to Art. 6 of the 2026/2027 DISI call, so the amounts apply to 2026/27. The call is the authoritative source for the 2026/27 amounts. 8) CURRICULUM NAMES ARE INCONSISTENT ACROSS OFFICIAL PAGES. The programme card lists 'AI for Innovation'; the Overview page and the Programme Regulations list 'AI and Innovation'. Same curriculum. The Overview also adds that the 'Systems' curriculum is 'focused in particular on AI Systems for Environment and Sustainability', and that within 'Methodologies and Applications' students choose one of four specialisation paths (Computer Vision, Methodologies, Intelligent Robots, Humans and AI); the electives may vary from year to year. 9) ORIENTA TYPO. The official orienta.unitn.it list names the programme 'Artificial Intelligence System' (singular). The correct official name, used in the regulations, the call, the manifesto and the corsi.unitn.it site, is 'Artificial Intelligence Systems'. 10) CAMPUS NOT PRINTED ON THE PROGRAMME CARD. Unlike some other UniTrento programme cards, the AIS card has no 'LOCATION' row. The Povo/Via Sommarive 9 location is taken from the DISI contact block on the 'Lessons, syllabus, exams' page and from Art. 1 clause 4 of the regulations ('mainly' at the Department's teaching sites). The word 'principalmente' leaves open that individual courses - plausibly those of the Neurocognitive Architectures curriculum, which draws on the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMeC), based in Rovereto - may be delivered elsewhere; the 2026/27 manifesto does not name any teaching site, so this could not be verified either way. Students should check the class-schedule system (https://easyacademy.unitn.it/AgendaStudentiUnitn/) for the actual room of each course. 11) NO SEPARATE 'LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY' PAGE. Unlike Data Science, the AIS site has no /study/language-proficiency page (404); the language rules live on the two admission pages and in Art. 4 clause 11 of the regulations. There is no in-course English C1/C2 or academic-writing obligation for AIS - only the Italian A1 obligation for non-Italian citizens. 12) NO PUBLISHED IELTS/TOEFL NUMBERS. The requirement is expressed only as CEFR B2 with four alternative forms of evidence; the numeric equivalences are on the separately maintained CLA list (https://www.cla.unitn.it/node/780), and the selection committee explicitly reserves the right to evaluate certificates outside that list. 13) EIT / EMAI4EU DOUBLE DEGREE NOT FULLY DOCUMENTED ON THE PROGRAMME PAGES. 20 of the 60 non-EU seats are reserved for candidates selected under the EIT programme, but neither the call nor the corsi.unitn.it pages describe how to apply for that track; the regulations state only that double-degree access is defined annually under the agreements with partner universities and normally requires additional ECTS. Interested candidates must go through EIT Digital (https://www.eitdigital.eu/eu-collaborations/emai4eu/). Double-degree students are exempt from the Italian A1 requirement. 14) NON-EU CONFIRMATION AND ENROLMENT DATES ARE NOT FIXED IN ADVANCE. The webpage states them as 'within the deadline communicated by UniTrento Staff'; only the ranking-publication date (25 May 2026) and the visa cut-off (31 October 2026) are fixed. 15) EU/EQUIVALENT CATEGORY. Whether a candidate counts as 'European and equivalent' or 'non-European' depends on citizenship AND residence/stay-permit status, not on geography alone; Note 1 of the call sets out the full rules, and UniTrento provides a self-check tool at https://www.unitn.it/en/check-your-category . A non-EU citizen permanently resident in Italy with a qualifying stay permit follows the free-access EU procedure, not the March call.
