A.Y. 2027/28 (MERGED 2027 intake; applications only through the University of Copenhagen application portal): citizens of countries outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland apply from 15 November 2026 to 15 January 2027, 23:59 CET; all required documents must be uploaded by the same deadline (passport/ID copy by 31 August 2027). Applications after the deadline are not accepted; there is no application fee. Offers of admission are sent from late February until mid-March 2027 and must be accepted within 5 days; the first-semester tuition fee must be paid by 15 April 2027 to obtain full admission, and the bachelor's degree must be documented by 20 September 2027. UCPH starts the online visa application (first year in Copenhagen) only after full admission. No Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available for the 2027 intake. UniMi's generic visa-applicant dates (apply by 30 April, Universitaly by 31 July) are not published as MERGED dates.
A.Y. 2027/28 (joint MERGED admission requirements applied by the University of Copenhagen): applicants must have completed, or be enrolled in the final semester of, a bachelor's degree. Degrees that automatically qualify include, from the University of Milan, classes L-2, L-13, L-18, L-21, L-25, L-26, L-32, L-36, L-37 and L-38, plus listed bachelor's programmes of the University of Copenhagen and the University of Warsaw. Other bachelor's or professional bachelor's degrees qualify if they include 30 ECTS in natural sciences (e.g. agrobiology, agronomy, animal sciences, biochemistry, biology, biotechnology, food and nutrition, forestry, geography, natural resources or environmental sciences) or 30 ECTS in social sciences (e.g. agricultural economics, anthropology, economics, development economics, development studies, socio-economic geography or sociology); other applicants may be admitted after an individual academic assessment. Only the qualifying bachelor's degree is assessed: up to 30 ECTS of subject elements passed before completing it may be counted, courses passed after it may not. Applicants whose degree does not qualify automatically must document the requirements with a self-assessment form and course descriptions. If qualified applicants exceed the places, they are ranked by grades in relevant courses and the GPA of the qualifying degree. The degree must be documented by 20 September 2027.
A.Y. 2027/28 (MERGED/University of Copenhagen rules): English proficiency (C1 level per the UniMi programme description) must be documented by the application deadline (15 January 2027 for citizens outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland, 1 March 2027 for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens, 23:59 CET), otherwise the application is rejected. Only two ways are accepted: (1) a full degree of at least 2 years (upper secondary, bachelor's or master's) completed in English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom or the USA (an exchange semester or year is not enough)
(2) one of these tests: IELTS Academic or IELTS Online with an overall score of at least 6.5 (One Skill Retake not accepted)
TOEFL iBT, TOEFL iBT paper edition or TOEFL iBT Home Edition with an overall 83 and at least 20 in each subscore on the old scale, or overall 4.5 on the new scale (MyBest scores not accepted)
None - no entrance test or interview is described. A.Y. 2027/28: the University of Copenhagen admission committee assesses the uploaded documentation (qualifying bachelor's degree; self-assessment and course descriptions where the degree does not qualify automatically). If qualified applicants exceed the places, they are ranked by grades in relevant courses and the GPA of the qualifying degree. Rejected applicants receive their ranking; appeals are possible only on legal grounds, within two weeks. UniMi's catalogue label 'Limited enrolment with admission test' does not correspond to any published test.
All documents must be in English (official English translation by the educational institution or an authorised translator where needed) and are uploaded to the University of Copenhagen application portal.

The University of Milan has not yet published a 2027/28 programme description. Its 2026/27 description lists partly different rules (another route for Italian degree classes with 60 ECTS in specified subject groups, and C1 English before enrolment); the requirements shown follow the current MERGED joint programme pages, because the University of Copenhagen handles admission.
The number of places for the 2027 intake is not published; the University of Milan's 2026/27 course page gives 40 places per cohort.
The joint programme FAQ gives slightly different result periods (applicants from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland: March to May; EU/EEA/Swiss applicants: late May to June) than the application-procedure page used for the offer dates shown.
The joint programme's application-procedure page still describes applying for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship (motivation letter and two recommendation letters), while its home, FAQ and scholarship pages state that no Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available for the 2027 intake.
The joint programme tuition page does not state an academic year; its EUR 30,000 for the 2-year programme (citizens from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland) matches the University of Milan's 2026/27 figure.
Year 1 is in Copenhagen, and the University of Copenhagen starts the online visa application only after full admission. No official page states whether a Universitaly pre-enrolment is needed for the second year in Milan.
