- Applicants must hold, or obtain by 31 December 2026, a bachelor's degree or other university degree awarded after a three-year course, or an equivalent foreign qualification recognized by the University as suitable. The A.Y. 2026/2027 manifesto states that 180 credits are required for admission. The programme requires basic knowledge in mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology. Eligible Italian degree classes listed on the programme application page are L-02 Biotechnology, L-05 Philosophy, L-07 Civil and Environmental Engineering, L-08 Information Engineering, L-13 Biological Sciences, L-27 Chemical Sciences and Technologies, L-29 Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies, L-30 Physical Sciences and Technologies, L-31 Computer Science and Technologies, L-32 Environmental and Nature Sciences and Technologies, L-33 Economics and Statistics, L-35 Mathematical Sciences, and L-41 Statistics. Applicants from those classes must also have at least 12 CFU in basic biological disciplines relevant to QB, specifically SSD BIO/06, BIO/09, BIO/10, BIO/11, BIO/18, and BIO/19. For candidates with foreign qualifications, the title must be recognized as appropriate by UniMi under the applicable ministerial rules and bilateral agreements.

- English at B2 CEFR level is required. The programme page and manifesto state that applicants should already hold a B2 English certification before applying; however, applicants without a B2 certificate may still be accepted if their English proficiency, assessed during the entry interview, is evidently good. Knowledge of Italian is not required. The programme-specific 2026/2027 sources do not publish a separate QB-specific SLAM test calendar or a programme-specific upload deadline for English proof beyond the general admission process.

- [uncertain] There is no centralized competitive entrance exam published for A.Y. 2026/2027. Admission is based on verification of entry requirements by the Admission Board. The programme application page and manifesto say that minimum English level and adequate basic knowledge are assessed by interview. However, the programme-specific admission notice says the board may request an interview and/or a written test, either in person or remotely, and the 2026/2027 sources do not publish fixed interview or written-test dates on the QB pages checked.

- For final enrolment with foreign qualifications: Statement of Comparability issued by an ENIC-NARIC centre such as CIMEA, or a Dichiarazione di Valore in loco; for Lisbon Recognition Convention countries, a Diploma Supplement or ARDI correspondence statement may replace the DOV and the Statement of Comparability as specified in the admission notice.
