Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

A.Y. 2026/27 (Electrical Engineering Teaching Regulations section 6; programme page). A bachelor (Laurea) degree or higher is required; Polimi final-year students in the next graduation session and final-year students of other Italian universities (at least 145 certified ECTS) may apply if they graduate before enrolling. A Selection Committee decides on the academic career; the required knowledge is modelled on the Polimi BSc in Electrical Engineering: sufficient general mathematical and scientific background; background in Electrical Engineering, Fundamentals of Automation, Electronics, Fundamentals of Applied Thermodynamics and Fluid Machines, Applied Mechanics; and in Electrical Machinery, Electrical Measurements, Distribution of Electric Power, Modelling of Electrical Machines and Power Systems, Electric Safety. Polimi graduates of the BSc in Electrical Engineering with a weighted average of at least 21/30, and of other BSc programmes of the School of Industrial and Information Engineering with at least 22/30, are admitted automatically (below these thresholds, in general not admitted). All other candidates are assessed case by case on CV and graduation mark; for foreign students admission is based on the transcript of records, the international ranking of the university where the bachelor was obtained and the specialisation area. Missing background can be assigned as prerequisites (individual courses before enrolment, not counted in the 120 MSc credits). Foreign-degree applicants must also hold a bachelor giving access to EQF level 7 with subjects closely related to the programme, and meet Polimi's country-specific minimum CGPA where one is set (e.g. Turkey 3 out of 4). The Sustainable Smart Grids for Energy Transition track (R2E) has limited places (25 in the regulations' 2025-26 figure) and adds a selection on career, preparation and a possible interview.

A.Y. 2027/28 (Admissions Office list 'updated for A.Y. 2027/2028'). English certification is required of all MSc applicants: TOEFL iBT / Home Edition at least 78 for tests taken until 20/01/2026 or at least 4.5 for tests taken from 21/01/2026 (paper-based at least 547, computer-based at least 210; Polimi TOEFL code 9795); TOEIC at least 785 Listening & Reading + 310 Speaking & Writing (from A.Y. 2027/28; the 720 L&R threshold applied to 2026/27 only); Cambridge Proficiency grade C, Advanced grade C or First grade B; IELTS Academic or General Training at least 6; Trinity ISE II; PTE Academic overall at least 59; Pearson PEIC overall at least 59; LanguageCert ESOL B2 Communicator (4 skills). Certificates considered expired by the issuing body are not accepted. Exemption: a bachelor taught in English for at least 3 years, proven by a university document confirming that at least 75% of the courses were taught in English. The certificate is not needed to submit the application and does not affect the evaluation, but it is mandatory for the admission letter, merit-based scholarships, the visa and enrolment. The programme regulations add that a candidate who has not certified English is accepted and enrolled only after demonstrating the required proficiency. Italian is not an entry requirement for this English-taught programme; international students must prove Italian proficiency (B2 certificate, or Polimi's free course and exit test) before graduating (Italian OFA).
