Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş
  • A.Y. 2026/27 (programme page, Teaching Regulations 2026/27 and School of Design admission guide 2026/27). A first-level degree (EQF level 6) or equivalent is required. Eligible Italian classes: L-4 Industrial Design, L-17 Architecture, L-21 Territorial, Urban, Landscape and Environmental Planning, L-23 Building Sciences
  • L-3 (Arts, Music, Performing Arts and Fashion) and L-7 (Civil and Environmental Engineering) graduates are admitted only with at least 36 ECTS in the architecture and design sectors 08/CEAR-08, 08/CEAR-09 or 08/CEAR-10. The guide's Annex 3 also accepts ISIA diplomas and several AFAM diplomas (e.g. Interior Design, Artistic Design, Fashion Design, Scenography) for this programme. If curricular requirements are not fully met, the Admission Committee may consider other relevant academic or professional qualifications and assign supplementary credits (curricular integrations; max 5 places in single courses for this programme) before assessing individual preparation. Foreign degrees: the same criteria apply when disciplinary fields and credits can be identified, otherwise the Programme Board evaluates the academic record; the foreign degree must give access to EQF level 7 and meet the Admissions Office's country-specific minimum CGPA where one is set (for example India 70/100, China 80%, Turkey 3/4, Iran 15.5/20, Pakistan 3.3/4). Assessment prerequisites: weighted average at least 23/30 for Polimi graduates and 25/30 for graduates of other universities (the guide assesses the average only for Italian qualifications), English certification at the level required by the University, and Italian for international applicants who enrol in a section taught in Italian. Final-year bachelor students may apply with at least 145 CFU (rule for A.Y. 2026/27 and 2027/28)
  • Italian-degree applicants must graduate by 15 December 2026. Admission depends on the assessment of individual preparation and the ranking position.

A.Y. 2027/28 (Admissions Office list 'updated for A.Y. 2027/2028'). Accepted English certificates: TOEFL iBT / Home Edition at least 78 for tests taken until 20/01/2026 or at least 4.5 for tests taken from 21/01/2026 (paper-based at least 547, computer-based at least 210; Polimi TOEFL code 9795); TOEIC at least 785 Listening & Reading + 310 Speaking & Writing (from A.Y. 2027/28; the 720 L&R threshold applied to 2026/27 only); Cambridge Proficiency grade C, Advanced grade C or First grade B; IELTS Academic or General Training at least 6; Trinity ISE II; PTE Academic overall at least 59; Pearson PEIC overall at least 59; LanguageCert ESOL B2 Communicator (4 skills). Certificates considered expired by the issuing body are not accepted. Exemption: a bachelor taught in English for at least 3 years, proven by a university document confirming that at least 75% of the courses were taught in English. Timing: Italian-degree applicants must upload the certificate within the School of Design application deadline or they are excluded; for foreign-degree applicants the Admissions Office says the certificate is not needed to submit the application and does not affect the evaluation but is mandatory for the admission letter, scholarships, visa and enrolment, while the 2026/27 regulations say candidates holding foreign qualifications must demonstrate adequate English before the assessment and that proficiency 'must be certified at the time of application', and the School guide says the English prerequisite 'also applies to candidates with a foreign degree' [uncertain which timing applies to foreign-degree applicants]. Italian: the programme page and the guide require Italian only for international applicants who enrol in a section taught in Italian (section IS1 is Italian/English; IS2, IS3 and IS4 are English-taught), while the Admissions Office list asks for a CLIQ B2 Italian certificate for programmes taught in Italian and English [uncertain for applicants who choose only English sections]. International students in English-taught sections must prove Italian before graduating (Italian OFA, not an entry requirement).

Sınav / değerlendirme

No written admission test (A.Y. 2026/27). Admission is by assessment of individual preparation and a merit ranking for limited places, based on the mandatory project portfolio (or thesis abstract for non-design backgrounds). In the School of Design procedure for Italian-degree applicants the portfolio scores max 50 points with a minimum of 30/50 (below that the applicant is ineligible), the CV max 20 points and the weighted average max 30 points, plus a 5-point bonus for the first-choice School of Design programme; the score is also used to allocate admitted students to the sections IS1-IS4. The School guide publishes no separate point scale for foreign-degree applicants , but the Admissions Office requires the portfolio from all Design applicants. No interview is mentioned; the GRE is only for Engineering and Architecture applicants.
