A.Y. 2026/27 (Educational Regulations 2026/27, Section 6). A first-cycle (Bachelor, EQF level 6) degree or comparable qualification is required. Final-year students can be evaluated 'under reserve' if they graduate within 6 months and before the MSc enrolment deadline (Italian-degree applicants: final-year students with at least 145 certified ECTS; foreign-degree applicants: the Bachelor must give access to EQF level 7). Required background: a bachelor in class L-9 (Industrial Engineering), L-8 (Information Engineering) or L-7 (Civil and Environmental Engineering), or at least a three-year degree / 180 ECTS with at least 20 credits in MAT/01-09, SECS-S/01-03, FIS/01-08 or CHIM/01, 03, 06, 07 and at least 10 credits in ICAR/01, ICAR/02, ING-IND/10, 16, 23, 24, 25, 26 or 27; the same criteria apply to foreign degrees when the subject areas can be identified, otherwise the study programme board evaluates the career. An admissions commission evaluates the previous curriculum and grades in basic and characterising subjects; Polimi graduates in engineering (L-8, L-9) with a CFU-weighted bachelor average of at least 28/30 are admitted without compulsory prerequisites. Others may be assigned prerequisites (additional compulsory modules, tutoring or MOOCs) taken as 'Individual Courses' before enrolment; failing them within 15 months forfeits the admission. Foreign-degree applicants: Polimi's country-specific minimum CGPA applies with no exceptions (e.g. Turkey 3 out of 4, India 70 out of 100, Pakistan and Bangladesh 3.3 out of 4, China 80%, Iran 15.5 out of 20). From A.Y. 2028/29 a new admission model for Master's programmes will apply.

No application dates for A.Y. 2027/28 are published yet (checked 27 September 2026); the deadlines, academic requirements and documents shown are for A.Y. 2026/27 and will change when Polimi publishes the 2027/28 calendar. The list of accepted English certificates is the one Polimi has already published for A.Y. 2027/28.
The programme page says its description refers to A.Y. 2025/26; the admission rules shown follow the programme's A.Y. 2026/27 regulations.
Non-EU applicants living abroad apply in the foreign-degree Engineering calls listed with the EU deadlines; the additional call of 27 February - 31 March 2026 was open only to EEA students and non-EEA residents in Italy.
The documents shown are those for applicants with a foreign bachelor degree; applicants with an Italian degree apply through Polimi Online Services with a different procedure, whose document list is not shown here.
This programme has no admission test; the general remark about portfolio, interview or school-specific assessment concerns Design, Architecture and partner programmes. The GRE General Test is optional and has no minimum score.
The minimum CGPA examples by country (e.g. Turkey 3/4, India 70/100, China 80%) come from Polimi's foreign-qualification requirements page; other countries have different minimums or none.
Polimi's 2026/27 programme regulations announce a new Master's admission model from A.Y. 2028/29; it does not apply to A.Y. 2026/27.
