Kabul Tipi

other - open access subject to a compulsory assessment of entry requirements and personal knowledge; no numerus clausus and no written entrance exam (A.Y. 2026/27). The departmental site states plainly: 'There is no admission test - your application will be evaluated in the pre-selection process'. The mechanism is (1) verification of curricular requirements requested by paying a EUR 10.00 fee on Infostud with course code 34180 (33488 up to A.Y. 2025/26), and (2) assessment of personal knowledge, carried out only for applicants who meet the entry requirements; for bachelor's graduates who do not meet the curricular requirements, the Teaching Area Councils assess their academic record and identify the subject-specific gaps to be filled before enrolment. Enrolment is possible only after the Student Affairs Office confirms the positive outcome of both checks by email. Pre-selection: non-EU citizens residing abroad who need a study visa (and Chinese students in the Marco Polo programme) must first obtain a pre-acceptance letter through Sapienza's MoveIN online pre-selection (sapienza.gomovein.com, EUR 30 fee, max 2 applications per academic year). For Italian and EU citizens (wherever resident) and non-EU citizens residing in Italy who hold a foreign qualification, the pre-acceptance letter is optional: they may go through MoveIN or register directly on Infostud, pay the EUR 10.00 fee and send their degree documents with a stamped syllabus to verificarequisiti.studentistranieri@uniroma1.it.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

Prior degree: a three-year Bachelor's degree in engineering, or another qualification recognised as equivalent to it (international applicants: 'An engineering bachelor's degree or equivalent to engineering degree'). Minimum curricular requirements (identical in the A.Y. 2026-2027 call and on the departmental site): at least 18 credits in one or more of MAT/03, MAT/05, MAT/06, MAT/07, MAT/08, MAT/09; at least 12 credits in one or more of CHIM/03, CHIM/07, FIS/01, FIS/07, ING-IND/11, ING-IND/21; at least 18 credits in one or more of ICAR/01, ICAR/02, ICAR/03, ICAR/04, ICAR/05, ICAR/06, ICAR/07, ICAR/08, ICAR/09, ICAR/10, ICAR/11, ICAR/17, ICAR/20. Minimum GPA for international applicants: 72/100 (or equivalent international grading scale), per both the MoveIN A.Y. 2026-2027 Academic Requirements document and the departmental entry-requirements page. Good general engineering knowledge in mathematics and physics is expected; where a candidate lacks it the programme offers selected preparation literature to cover before the academic year starts. Holding a Master's degree already is not relevant to the application. If the curricular requirements are not met, missing credits may be acquired by passing single examinations, and for bachelor's graduates who do not meet them the Teaching Area Councils, after assessing their academic record, identify the subject-specific gaps to be filled before enrolment. Students who have not yet graduated may apply for the eligibility check provided they graduate by 23 January 2027 (Sapienza students) or by 19 December 2026 (students of other Italian or international universities) (A.Y. 2026-2027 call). Sapienza notes that meeting the stated requirements is not a guarantee of admission - each application is assessed individually on CV, academic performance, previous studies and motivation.

Sınav / değerlendirme

No admission test, no TOLC and no SAT (A.Y. 2026/27). The departmental site states: 'There is no admission test - your application will be evaluated in the pre-selection process and you will get a response from us if you are eligible for admission or not.' Admission requires the Infostud eligibility check (EUR 10.00, code 34180), whose result is sent by email, followed by the assessment of personal knowledge, carried out only for applicants who meet the entry requirements; English must be at least B2 (certificate, or a bachelor's or master's degree completed in English). For non-EU visa applicants the MoveIN pre-selection comes first: the application is evaluated after submission and, if the evaluation is positive, a pre-acceptance letter confirms eligibility; the programme's MoveIN entry sets a minimum GPA of 72/100.

  • All dates and admission rules shown are for A.Y. 2026/27; the A.Y. 2027/28 admission notice and pre-selection dates have not been published yet.
  • For A.Y. 2026/27 the programme is listed under the new code 34180, the code to enter on Infostud; the admission notice published under the old code 33488 is the A.Y. 2025/26 one.
  • The 2026/27 MoveIN pre-selection closed on 15 May 2026 for non-EU applicants who need a study visa (Universitaly pre-enrolment followed by 30 June 2026) and on 31 July 2026 for all other applicants; the 15 September 2026 eligibility-check date, the only one for visa applicants, has also passed.
  • Some pages show different dates: Sapienza's general Student Regulations page (Art. 3) still shows the 2025/26 eligibility-check dates, and the departmental 'How to apply' page gives application periods of November 2025 - June 2026 (non-EU) and November 2025 - September 2026 (EU) with fee-payment dates of 16 September, 16 December and 15 January 2027. The dates shown here follow the programme's 2026/27 admission notice and Sapienza's central admissions pages.
  • The departmental 'How to apply' page and some general Sapienza pages describe the MoveIN pre-selection as a step for every applicant, while the 2026/27 admission notice and the International Student Office page make the pre-acceptance letter optional for EU citizens and for non-EU citizens living in Italy; the information shown follows the 2026/27 admission notice.
  • The quoted wording on the teaching language and on the English B2 rule comes from the A.Y. 2025/26 admission notice; the 2026/27 notice sets the same rules in slightly different words (for example 'Course taught in English').
  • Sapienza publishes no tuition amount specific to this programme; fees follow the university-wide rules.
  • Tuition and fees link note: https://www.uniroma1.it/en/pagina/tuition-fees-and-benefits (Sapienza's international admissions page states full tuition for Bachelor's and Master's programmes is EUR 300-1500/year according to country of residence; the Italian catalogue page for the programme also links https://www.uniroma1.it/it/node/24520 for calculating enrolment costs)
