There is no numerus clausus, no TOLC and no SAT. Admission is a two-stage administrative/academic screening: (1) a documentary eligibility check requested by paying a EUR 10.00 fee via Infostud/PagoPA (Infostud code 33607), and (2) an assessment of personal knowledge by a dedicated committee, which for this programme takes the form of an English language proficiency check (automatic pass with an L-30 degree plus a B2+ certificate, otherwise an assessment interview). Non-EU applicants residing abroad who need a study visa must additionally pass the MoveIN online pre-selection to obtain a compulsory pre-acceptance letter.

Admission is automatic for applicants who meet the requirements, hold a three-year L-30 degree and provide an English certificate at B2 or higher; the other eligible applicants are assessed through an interview. Through the programme's Google Form, candidates either upload a B2 or higher certificate to request exemption from the interview or register for the interview.

All admission requirements and dates shown are for A.Y. 2026/2027 (the 2026-2027 call for applications and English language proficiency notice). The A.Y. 2027/2028 call and pre-selection dates are not published yet.
The A.Y. 2026-2027 dates for non-EU applicants living abroad who need a study visa have all passed (MoveIn pre-selection 15 May 2026, Universitaly pre-enrolment 30 June 2026, requirements check 15 September 2026). For other applicants the requirements-check dates of 15 October, 17 November and 17 December 2026 remain, plus 14 January 2027 for Sapienza graduates and graduands; the optional MoveIn pre-selection for them closed on 31 July 2026.
The call grants automatic admission to applicants with a three-year L-30 degree and a B2 English certificate and assesses the other eligible applicants by interview, while the English proficiency notice lets any candidate upload a B2 or higher certificate to request exemption from the interview; the official pages do not say whether that exemption is automatic for applicants with other degrees.
Sapienza's pre-selection English requirements accept the IELTS Academic Home-Based and TOEFL iBT Home Edition tests, while the list of recognised certifications linked for the programme's own English check does not accept online IELTS Academic or TOEFL iBT tests; the official pages do not say how home-edition certificates are treated at the programme's English check.
Admission is by verification of requirements and personal preparation (Italian catalogue: 'Verifica dei requisiti e della preparazione personale'): an eligibility check, not a capped or competitive admission. The official call publishes no number of available places for this programme.
Both the English and Italian catalogue pages carry the notice 'I contenuti del catalogo per l'a.a. 2026-2027 sono in corso di aggiornamento' (2026-2027 catalogue content is being updated), so course-page details other than those confirmed in the signed official call may still change.
Sapienza publishes no programme-specific fee page for this course: the link given is the university-wide Tuition fees and benefits page, and the fee calculator is at https://www.uniroma1.it/en/pagina/fees-calculator. Fees are ISEE-based; this programme sits in the second contribution bracket (Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences).
The programme has a single curriculum delivered in English; the Italian catalogue page lists the language as 'Inglese, Inglese'. One optional second-year elective is marked [ITA]; this does not affect the English-taught status of the programme.
