Italian, EU and non-EU citizens legally residing in Italy: submit the curricular-requirements check on Delphi (bachelor's degree already obtained; EUR 30 evaluation fee) in the first round from 28 May to 31 December 2026 or the second round from 1 February to 31 March 2027. After a positive assessment, enrol from 15 July 2026 to 15 January 2027 (first round) or from 1 February to 15 April 2027 (second round); enrolment after these dates is not possible. First-semester lessons started on 28 September 2026. The Erasmus Mundus MASS master has no 2026/27 intake.

The bachelor's degree must be obtained by 30 June 2026 to apply on Universitaly; Universitaly pre-enrolment by 31 July 2026, with proof of English at B2; enrolment is completed after the visa is issued, in person at the International Students Office by 20 December 2026. National visa-application deadline for A.Y. 2026/27: 30 November 2026.

A.Y. 2026/27: a bachelor's degree in Physics or a related subject (at least three years and 180 ECTS; rule of thumb for non-EU degrees: 1 ECTS = 30 hours of study), already obtained when the curricular check is submitted (visa applicants: by 30 June 2026). Required background: linear algebra, analysis in one and several variables, linear operators and basics of numerical methods; classical and modern physics (mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism), elements of quantum mechanics, special relativity and nuclear physics; laboratory, physics data-analysis and computing skills. Physics graduates (class L-30) of any Italian university and Tor Vergata graduates in Atmospheric Physics and Meteorology are admitted directly; other degrees are assessed by the Physics Department Council, which may ask for single courses before enrolment.

A.Y. 2026/27: the curriculum is taught in English (students may also take courses taught in Italian). The Physics Master's notice sets no specific English level or certificate for Italian, EU and Italy-resident applicants; an English certificate can be uploaded with the curricular check, and a 2-ECTS English (C1) module is part of the study plan. Non-EU applicants who need a visa must document English at CEFR B2 or above in their Universitaly pre-enrolment: an accepted B2 certificate, official evidence of English-medium previous studies, or the statement issued after Tor Vergata's Online English Language Exam (Language Centre, CLA). No Italian requirement is stated for this English curriculum.

After the Delphi application is validated, the Physics teaching committee assesses curricular requirements and personal preparation; if requirements are missing, single courses must be passed before enrolment. Visa applicants are assessed through the English-language Application-Assessment. The Erasmus Mundus MASS selection and its scholarships do not run for 2026/27.
