Non-EU citizens residing abroad who need a study visa may apply ONLY in the first selection round (10 reserved places): Delphi application 10 January - 19 March 2026 and CEnT-S taken from November 2025 by 19 March 2026. Visa applicants have their own ranking: only the 50 best CEnT-S scores (minimum 15 in Mathematics and Reasoning on texts and data) are invited to the online interview; merit ranking from 11 May 2026 (possible supplementary rankings from 25 May and 4 June 2026); winners pre-enrol on Delphi (EUR 156) by 22 May 2026 (supplementary lists: by 3 June or 12 June 2026) and enrol between 15 and 30 July 2026. The second and third rounds are closed to visa applicants; reserved places that stay unused go to EU and legally resident candidates.
Non-EU pre-enrolment portal (Universitaly): the visa pre-enrolment on Universitaly must be completed by 31 July 2026; the University validates it once the documents are uploaded, and the applicant then contacts the Italian embassy or consulate (national deadline for 2026/27 study-visa applications: 30 November 2026). Enrolment is completed in person at the International Students Office (Via Cracovia 50, Rome) by 18 December 2026, with the required documents and the visa.
DoV / CIMEA statement required: yes, for the foreign qualification (at the Universitaly pre-enrolment and at enrolment). Countries that signed the Lisbon Convention: the ARDI Statement of Correspondence or a Declaration of Value (eligibility) plus the CIMEA Statement of Verification or a translation with legalisation / apostille (authenticity). Other countries: the CIMEA Statement of Comparability and the CIMEA Statement of Verification.
Valid high-school diploma of at least 12 years of schooling (or foreign equivalent giving access to higher education in the country of origin). Applicants in their final year may apply, subject to graduating before enrolment. Mathematical preparation is verified through the CEnT-S Math section.

English at CEFR B2 (A.Y. 2026/27). For every applicant the B2 level is checked in the compulsory online oral interview, one of whose assessment points is knowledge of English at B2 (the interview gives up to 30 points and at least 15 are needed). The 2026/27 call lists no English certificates, no minimum scores and no certificate exemption from the interview. Non-EU applicants who need a visa: under the ministerial procedures for 2026/27 and 2027/28, Tor Vergata's Online English Language Exam page says that applicants to English-taught programmes who have neither an accepted B2 certificate from a recognised awarding body nor official proof that their previous studies were taught in English can take the University's Online English Language Exam (Language Centre; written test, first session 17-23 July 2026, then an oral test on Microsoft Teams); a B2 result gives an official statement that is uploaded in the Universitaly pre-enrolment. No Italian language requirement is stated in the call.
CEnT-S (CISIA English Test - Sciences) plus an online oral interview - A.Y. 2026/27. CEnT-S: 55 multiple-choice questions in 110 minutes (15 mathematics, 15 logic, 10 biology, 10 chemistry, 5 physics); only the Mathematics and Reasoning on texts and data sections count, and a normalised score of at least 15 is needed to reach the interview (the normalised score also counts as points in the ranking). Valid tests are those taken from November 2025 at any CISIA date (in person or online): by 19 March 2026 for the first round, by 19 June 2026 for the second round (extended from 16 June), and by 20 October 2026 for the extraordinary third round (20 October only as a make-up date). Registration is on the CISIA website; one test per macro-period, and if more than one is taken the most recent counts. Interview: online on Microsoft Teams (invitation at least 48 hours in advance), maximum 30 points, at least 15 needed to be eligible; it checks general culture, mathematics, logic and reading comprehension, English at B2 level and knowledge of the chosen track. Visa applicants: only the 50 best CEnT-S scores are interviewed. Ties: higher interview score, then the younger candidate. Candidates with less than 15 in the interview may still enter a possible extraordinary ranking and, if they enrol, receive an additional learning requirement (OFA) to complete in the first year.
