A.Y. 2026/27 (2027/28 not published on 28 September 2026). Non-EU applicants residing abroad who need a study visa: the School of Sciences' visa window of 28 May - 15 July 2026 does not apply to the English-taught Physics curricula. These applicants apply instead through the University's English-language Application-Assessment on Delphi ('Application to programmes taught in English'); its closing date is not published in the notice or on the central admissions pages . The bachelor's degree must be obtained by 30 June 2026 to apply on Universitaly. Universitaly pre-enrolment: by 31 July 2026 (with proof of English at CEFR B2). Study-visa application at the Italian embassy or consulate: by 30 November 2026 (national deadline for 2026/27). After arrival, enrolment must be completed in person at the International Students Office by 20 December 2026. Foreign degree documents for Universitaly and enrolment: the original degree with the transcript or Diploma Supplement plus, depending on the country, an ARDI Statement of Correspondence or a Declaration of Value and a CIMEA Statement of Verification or legalisation/Apostille (countries outside the Lisbon Convention: CIMEA Statements of Comparability and Verification).

Bachelor's degree (at least 3 years) in Physics or a related subject (e.g. Mathematics, Engineering Physics) — programme website specifies '180 ECTS Credits' minimum. The curriculum is research-oriented towards particle physics, astro-particle physics, nuclear physics and detector development, so a strong preparation in mathematical methods, quantum mechanics, classical and statistical mechanics, electromagnetism, and laboratory techniques is expected. Foreign degrees must be Bologna first-cycle / EQF level 6 from an institution allowing local progression to the second cycle. Curricular gaps integrated via single-subject courses.

A.Y. 2026/27: the curriculum is taught in English (students may also take some courses taught in Italian). The Physics Master's notice sets no English level or certificate for applicants who do not need a visa; an English certificate, if held, can be uploaded with the Delphi request for verification of curricular requirements. Non-EU applicants residing abroad who need a study visa must prove English at CEFR B2 or above in their Universitaly pre-enrolment, with one of: an accepted B2 certificate from a recognised awarding body; official evidence that their previous studies were taught in English; or the official statement issued after Tor Vergata's Online English Language Exam (Language Centre - CLA; online written test, first session 17-23 July 2026, then an oral test on Microsoft Teams). No minimum IELTS/TOEFL scores are published. No Italian requirement for this English curriculum: the University's Italian test applies only to visa applicants enrolling in Italian-taught Master's degrees.

Document-based evaluation through Delphi (Button 1 — Verification of curricular requirements). €30 evaluation fee paid via PagoPA. Once validated, the application is examined by the LM-17 Programme Board. Where curricular gaps are found, the Board prescribes single-subject courses (€100 per course) which must be completed and re-assessed positively before enrolment.
