Akademik Koşullar
Bachelor's degree (at least 3 years) in Physics or a related subject (e.g. Mathematics, Engineering Physics) — programme website specifies '180 ECTS Credits' minimum. The curriculum is research-oriented towards particle physics, astro-particle physics, nuclear physics and detector development, so a strong preparation in mathematical methods, quantum mechanics, classical and statistical mechanics, electromagnetism, and laboratory techniques is expected. Foreign degrees must be Bologna first-cycle / EQF level 6 from an institution allowing local progression to the second cycle. Curricular gaps integrated via single-subject courses.
Dil Koşulları
English proficiency at least at CEFR B2 (Upper-Intermediate). Accepted in line with Tor Vergata standard practice through certificates issued by recognised certifying bodies (Cambridge English, IELTS, Trinity College London, ETS / TOEFL iBT, TOEIC, Pearson EDEXCEL/EDI, ESB, Anglia Ascentis, Aim Awards, LCCI, British Institutes, NQAI) or through a Bachelor's degree taught entirely in English. The LM-17 Macroarea Avviso does not impose a numeric IELTS/TOEFL minimum. English proficiency minimum scores: B2 level on the CEFR scale (Upper-Intermediate). The Physics Macroarea Avviso does not list per-certificate numeric thresholds; the Department of Physics evaluates the certificate against B2 equivalence on a per-application basis. [uncertain — exact IELTS/TOEFL thresholds for the Physics English curricula are not separately published] Italian B1 during studies: Not required. Programme delivered entirely in English; Italian language test (CISIA TEST ITALIANO L2 ≥ 61/72 or B2 certificate from accredited Italian-language certifiers) is required only for Italian-language curricula.
Sınav / Test
Document-based evaluation through Delphi (Button 1 — Verification of curricular requirements). €30 evaluation fee paid via PagoPA. Once validated, the application is examined by the LM-17 Programme Board. Where curricular gaps are found, the Board prescribes single-subject courses (€100 per course) which must be completed and re-assessed positively before enrolment.
