A.Y. 2026/27 (Academic Regulations 2026/27 of the programme, class LM-35; the English text is a courtesy translation). Requirements: a 3-year Bachelor's degree or a foreign qualification recognised as suitable, curricular requirements and suitable academic performance, plus an English certificate at least B2. Curricular requirements: at least 40 ECTS in core fields - general and applied chemistry (CHEM-01/A to CHEM-05/A), physics (PHYS-01/A to PHYS-04/A, PHYS-06/A), computer science (IINF-05/A), mathematics and statistics (MATH-02/A to MATH-05/A, STAT-01/A, STAT-01/B) - and at least 60 ECTS in Earth science (CHEM-06/A, GEOS-03/A, GEOS-03/B, GEOS-04/B, GEOS-04/C, PHYS-05/B), land and environmental engineering (CEAR fields), industrial engineering with a focus on energy plants (IIND, IMAT, ICHI, IIET fields), data processing (IINF-01/A, IMIS-01/B, INFO-01/A) and business management (IEGE-01/A); credits in fields of both groups count first towards the first group. Less than 10 missing credits: the Academic Advisor may admit the applicant; more than 10: final approval by the Coordinator or Vice Coordinator. Missing credits must be made up before enrolment: up to 60 credits through single courses, more than 60 through a Bachelor's-level credit-transfer route. Academic performance: PoliTo graduates - Bachelor's completed in 4 years or less with no average required, between 4 and 5 years with a weighted average of at least 21/30, more than 5 years at least 24/30 (average on all graded credits minus the worst 28 credits; graduation by the end of the December graduation period); graduates of other Italian universities - weighted average of at least 24/30 regardless of time to degree (also calculated on all graded credits minus the worst 28 credits); non-Italian qualifications - an academic qualification from an accredited/recognised foreign university after at least 15 years of total education (students of an unfinished 5- or 6-year programme: at least 3 university years and 180 ECTS), with academic performance and consistency of previous studies assessed on Apply@polito by professors designated by the Collegio Coordinator. Recommended background for applicants with a non-Italian qualification (2026/27 course-specific requirements): any field of Engineering, Geology, Physics or Mathematics; syllabus optional; no portfolio. For enrolment the foreign degree needs a Declaration of Value, a CIMEA Statement of Comparability or a Diploma Supplement (ARDI certificate accepted). A positive evaluation is valid only for the academic year applied for.
A.Y. 2026/27. English B2 or higher is required; the 2026/27 course-specific requirements set a programme minimum of IELTS 5.5. No Italian certificate is needed (the programme is taught entirely in English). Accepted English certificates follow PoliTo's B2 table: IELTS Academic or General Training 5.5, Pearson PTE Academic 59, TOEFL iBT 72 (taken before 21/01/2026) or total 4 (taken after 21/01/2026), TOEIC Listening 400 / Reading 385 / Speaking 160 / Writing 150, Cambridge English Scale 160 (B1 Preliminary to C2 Proficiency); TOEFL/TOEIC institution code C285, Cambridge results shared with PoliTo with the Candidate ID.
