• First-cycle degree (BSc) meeting ONE of: (1) Italian degree in class L-27 Chemical Sciences and Technologies
• (2) Italian degree in another class (e.g. L-2 Biotechnology, L-13 Biological Sciences, L-9 Industrial Engineering) with at least 8 CFU in MAT/01-09, 6 CFU in FIS/01-08, 15 CFU in CHIM/01-07 and 15 CFU in AGR/16, BIO/10, BIO/11, CHIM/11, ING-IND/25, ING-IND/27
• (3) foreign degree (e.g. Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology) with a curriculum corresponding in content to (1) or (2). Page also says: 'Students who obtained their last degree (BSc or MSc degree) not more that 7 years ago and had a graduation grade of 65% or high will be accepted for selection.' Curricular requirements are checked by the Didactic Coordination Commission (CCD); 'only students who meet the curricular requirements may enter'. English B2 certified: 'Certified English language proficiency at the B2 level is required.' The page also says the B2 requirement 'can be achieved within the first year of the course' (its example: for A.Y. 2022/23 the limit was 31 March 2024) and that enrolled students can obtain B2 through the University Language Centre (CLA). Yet an 'English Certification' is also on the list of documents to upload with the application, so whether the certificate is needed at application or only later is . The list of accepted certificates and minimum scores is not given on the page . No Italian requirement.

No written test. Mandatory online interview (colloquium): candidate is emailed an appointment, gives a 5-6 minute talk on the BSc thesis/final work using the official slide template, and the documents are verified. 'Verification of personal preparation is mandatory in all cases.' Interview dates are not published on the page .

• Upload one PDF named Surname_Name.pdf via the internal Google Form (documents sent any other way, e.g. email, are not considered) containing: Curriculum Vitae; Bachelor certificate; Diploma Supplement or Graduate Record Examination; scan of the passport; English certification; motivational letter; optional recommendation letters; slide presentation for the interview (official template). Visa applicants also register on Universitaly and upload the documents required there; Federico II's international office then does a preliminary assessment and may request the academic qualifications. For enrolment, Federico II's general list includes passport copy, application form, photo, tax code, residence permit proof and a declaration of value or ENIC-NARIC validity certificate (source: international.unina.it admission-regulation page); the programme-specific enrolment list was not read .
