Applicants must hold a recognised first-cycle (Bachelor / Laurea Triennale) university degree obtained by July 31, 2026 from an officially accredited institution, equivalent to at least 3 years of academic studies (minimum 180 ECTS) and representing approximately 15 years of total prior schooling, that qualifies them to enrol in a related second-cycle programme in the country where the degree was awarded. Enrolment is confirmed only after the Admissions Office verifies the validity of the qualification. Programme-specific eligibility: the master 'is aimed at Italian and international students in possession of a three-year degree or equivalent international qualification in Agriculture, Environmental Sciences and Forestry Sciences' (e.g. Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, Biotechnology / Biological Sciences, Agro-food Sciences and Technologies, Environmental / Nature-related Sciences). 'Other types of Bachelor will not prevent admission and each case will be discussed with Stefano Poni, Coordinator of the Program.' The programme is delivered in Piacenza by the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences over 2 years / 120 ECTS, with hands-on labs, experimental projects and field visits at vineyards and a thesis-driven research project within a Faculty research group. Class size is capped at 20 (5 places reserved for the Double Degree option with ESA, Angers, France; year 1 in Italy + year 2 in France). A separate semester exchange option with the University of Adelaide (Australia) is available. The international.unicatt.it page lists the degree title awarded as 'Laurea Magistrale in Agricoltura Sostenibile e di Precisione' (Sustainable and Precision Agriculture). The Italian degree class code is not stated on the international page; LM-69 (Scienze e Tecnologie Agrarie) is the standard class for this title in the Italian university system. Applicants must provide proof of English proficiency by submitting one of the accepted certificates dated January 1, 2024 or later (Cattolica enforces a 2-year validity window relative to the 2026/2027 academic year). The certificate must be uploaded at the time of application — late submissions are not accepted and incomplete applications are rejected. The programme-specific Italian-side page (viticolturasostenibile.com/sve) states more leniently that 'a minimum level of B1 + English language certification is required for non-mother tongue students' — this appears to be a legacy / Italian-side statement and the binding requirement is the Cattolica International B2 baseline (IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL iBT 84). No external entrance test (no GMAT/GRE) and no Cattolica written exam is required for the standard online application. Selection is based on review of academic record, CV, motivation letter and English certificate. The international.unicatt.it page states that other (non-listed) bachelor backgrounds will not automatically prevent admission and that each case is discussed with the Programme Coordinator (Prof. Stefano Poni) — this may include a clarifying interview/email exchange. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis within each round with results typically communicated within ~6 weeks of round close.
