Applicants must hold a recognised first-cycle (Bachelor / Laurea Triennale) university degree obtained by July 31, 2026 from an officially accredited institution, equivalent to at least 3 years of academic studies (minimum 180 ECTS) and representing approximately 15 years of total prior schooling, that qualifies them to enrol in a comparable second-cycle programme in the country where the degree was awarded. The Consumer Behaviour LM is an inter-faculty programme jointly delivered at the Cremona campus by the Faculty of Psychology and the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences, and the degree is awarded in the Italian class LM-51 (Psychology), with 'Laurea Abilitante' status qualifying graduates for the Italian professional register for psychologists (ex DI 654/22). Programme-specific curricular prerequisites are EITHER (A) a Bachelor's degree in the Italian class L-24 'Scienze e tecniche psicologiche' (or the equivalent class 34 ex D.M. 509/99), OR (B) any other Bachelor's degree containing at least 88 CFU in the psychology scientific-disciplinary sectors M-PSI/01 through M-PSI/08 (general, psychobiology and physiological psychology, social psychology, developmental and educational psychology, clinical psychology, work and organisational psychology, dynamic psychology, and psychometrics). A shortfall of up to 8 CFU within the psychology SSD area is admissible; the Programme Coordinator may verify that course content matches the required topics and may define an individual integration plan. Candidates with weighted GPA < 24/30, or with a partial CFU shortfall under option B, must additionally pass a personal preparation verification interview (colloquio) held online by the programme coordinator focused on foundational psychology. Per DI 654/22 (Laurea Abilitante), enrolees must already hold at least 10 CFU of 'Tirocinio pratico-valutativo' from their Bachelor; missing CFU must be acquired in addition to the 120 ECTS of the LM by extending the external internship. The programme covers foundational and applied psychology of consumption, health and decision-making, multidisciplinary skills across nutrition / agriculture / environment / economics, research methods, a One Health perspective, and a 250-hour professional internship or applied research project. Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency at minimum CEFR B2 by submitting one of the accepted certificates dated January 1, 2024 or later (Cattolica enforces a 2-year validity window relative to the 2026/2027 academic year). Standard accepted minimum scores for 2-year English-taught Laurea Magistrale programmes (applicable to Consumer Behaviour, which is NOT listed among the programmes with a higher score threshold such as The Arts and Industry of Narration, Banking and Finance or Global Business Management): Academic IELTS 6.0 (B2); TOEFL iBT 84 (B2); Cambridge English: First (FCE) 173 (B2-C1); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) and Proficiency (CPE) accepted; Cambridge English: Business English Certificate (BEC Vantage and BEC Higher); Trinity College London ISE II (B2), ISE III (C1), ISE IV (C2); PTE Academic 46 (B2); Oxford Test of English Advanced (B2). The certificate must be uploaded at the time of application; missing or below-threshold results trigger application rejection. Applicants are exempt from submitting a language test if they completed their previous studies in Australia, Canada (except Quebec), Ireland, Malta, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, or the USA. EU applicants who completed a full English-taught degree must provide an official statement from the institution; non-EU applicants from Iran, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan or Nepal requiring a study visa must always provide a certificate. No external standardised entrance exam (no GMAT/GRE). Admission is processed on a chronological / rolling basis with assessment of curricular prerequisites by the Faculty of Psychology. Italian-system applicants holding the required prior degree with weighted GPA >= 24/30 are admitted directly; applicants with weighted GPA < 24/30, or who are missing some required curricular CFU (within the allowed shortfall margin of up to 8 CFU in the psychology SSD area), must take a 'colloquio di verifica dell'adeguatezza della personale preparazione' (verification interview) held online via Microsoft Teams with the programme coordinator, assessing essential foundational knowledge in psychology. A Syllabus of interview topics and evaluation criteria is published by the Faculty. International applicants apply through the Cattolica International graduate online portal; the Admissions Office may request an additional interview. English proficiency must be demonstrated via accepted certificate at submission.
