Applicants must hold (or obtain by 30 August 2026) a high-school diploma that grants access to university-level studies in the awarding country, with at least 12 years of total education (11 years accepted only if completed with a recognised foundation course or university coursework at a recognised Italian institution). Economics and Management is a competitive, math-focused programme: high-school performance in Mathematics is decisive. International Baccalaureate (IB) applicants must have taken Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches (AA) OR Applications & Interpretation (AI). Applicants with American/Canadian diplomas, or whose final-year curriculum does not include Mathematics, must compensate via SAT/ACT scores or the Cattolica Admission Test. International applicants are defined as holders of a non-Italian high-school diploma.

Minimum CEFR B2 in English. Accepted certificates and minimum scores: IELTS Academic 6.0; TOEFL iBT 84; Cambridge English: First / Advanced / Proficiency (B2-C2); Cambridge English: Business Vantage / Higher (B2-C1); Cambridge IGCSE First Language English grade D; Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language grade C; PTE Academic 46; Trinity College London ISE II / III / IV; Oxford Test of English Advanced (B2). The certificate must be dated 1 January 2024 or later (2-year validity) and must be uploaded at the time of application. Automatic exemption for applicants who completed upper-secondary education in one of the 21 listed English-speaking countries (UK, US, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.), for full IB Diploma graduates with most coursework in English, and for graduates of Cattolica's Foundation Programme English track. Conditional exemption for applicants from 18 listed African countries (Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, etc.) subject to exam results and graduation year assessment.

Application is reviewed primarily on high-school grades, with strong emphasis on Mathematics. Applicants with American/Canadian diplomas, or applicants whose final school year does not include Mathematics, must submit SAT/ACT scores OR take the Cattolica Admission Test (online). SAT/ACT can also be submitted optionally by other applicants to strengthen the file. If the Cattolica Admission Test is taken, the application can no longer be reassessed on high-school transcripts or SAT/ACT. Candidates admitted on the basis of SAT/ACT or high-school grades must additionally pass the Foundation Knowledge Assessment Test (VPI) after enrolment, with a minimum score of 7 in the mathematics area. No video interview is mentioned for this programme.
