Applicants must hold (or obtain by 30 August 2026) a high-school diploma that grants access to university-level studies in the awarding country, with at least 12 years of total schooling (11 years accepted only if completed with a recognised foundation course or one year of university coursework). Finance at Cattolica Milano is a 3-year, 180-ECTS English-taught curriculum of the BSc in Economia dei mercati e degli intermediari finanziari (6th edition), in the Faculty of Banking, Finance and Insurance Sciences, blending economics, law and quantitative methods with a deep focus on finance for careers in banking, asset management and corporate finance. High-school performance in Mathematics is decisive for selection. International Baccalaureate (IB) applicants are expected to have taken IB Mathematics (Analysis & Approaches or Applications & Interpretation). Applicants with American/Canadian diplomas, or whose final-year curriculum lacks Mathematics, must compensate via SAT/ACT or the Cattolica Admission Test. The certificate must be dated 1 January 2024 or later (2-year validity relative to AY 2026/2027) and must be uploaded at application time; late or missing certificates lead to rejection. Automatic exemption for applicants who completed upper-secondary education in one of 21 listed English-speaking countries (UK, US, Ireland, Canada except Quebec, Australia, New Zealand, etc.), for full IB Diploma graduates with most coursework in English, and for graduates of Cattolica's Foundation Programme English track. No external mandatory entry exam by default; selection is based on review of high-school grades with strong emphasis on Mathematics (Finance is a quantitative, finance-and-economics programme). Applicants with American/Canadian diplomas, or applicants whose final-year curriculum does not include Mathematics, must compensate via SAT/ACT scores or by taking the Cattolica Admission Test (online). SAT/ACT can also be submitted optionally by other applicants to strengthen the file. If the Cattolica Admission Test is taken, the application can no longer be reassessed on high-school transcripts or SAT/ACT (rule observed across Cattolica's English BSc programmes in economics/finance). After enrolment, all first-year bachelor students must take the Foundation Knowledge Assessment Test (VPI) - the Finance programme runs a VPI with a mathematics component, with an Additional Training Obligation (OFA) assigned to students who fall below the threshold.
