A degree under Italian Ministerial Decree 270/04 in class L-8 Information Engineering or L-9 Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent qualification; alternatively, a university qualification of at least three years, including a foreign qualification, recognized as suitable by the Degree Programme Council. Minimum curricular credits are 36 CFU across the listed mathematics, computer science, statistics, chemistry and physics sectors (IINF-01/A, IINF-05/A, MATH-02/A, MATH-02/B, MATH-03/A, MATH-03/B, MATH-04/A, MATH-05/A, MATH-06/A, STAT-01/B, CHEM-03/A, CHEM-06/A, PHYS-01/A, PHYS-03/A, PHYS-06/A) and 18 CFU across electrical engineering, electronics, automation and computer engineering sectors (IIET-01/A, IINF-01/A, IINF-04/A, IINF-05/A). For the 2026/27 non-EU-abroad selection, transcript ECTS/hours, marks, course projects and equivalent experiences are evaluated.

Good written and spoken English at CEFR B2 level or higher. For the 2026/27 non-EU-abroad selection, the requirement must be demonstrated by an accepted certificate or exemption evidence. Under the Italian/EU/equated programme annex, candidates without B2 certification are called to an individual interview.

Sınav / değerlendirme

Preparation is first assessed from the curriculum. For the Italian/EU/equated 2026/27 route, an individual interview is required when minimum curricular requirements are not met or B2 English certification is absent; it was scheduled for 16 September 2026 at 09:00 at DIEEI, room T1, Building 15, Viale A. Doria 6, with justified videoconference requests due by 14 September. Candidates are graded admitted/not admitted. For the non-EU-abroad selection, qualifications are scored out of 100: academic record up to 50, relevance of prior studies/experience up to 40, reference letter up to 5 and motivation up to 5; the board may require an online interview/test, and 50/100 is the suitability threshold.

EU/equated foreign-title pre-evaluation: final secondary-school diploma and its Declaration of Value or comparability certificate; bachelor's degree and Declaration of Value or comparability and verification documents; transcript/Diploma Supplement; official course syllabi; motivation letter; recommendation letter; and English certificate. For the later Smart_Edu application, external-university candidates upload an updated academic record or the provided self-certification plus a valid identity document.
