Resmî Eğitim Dili

English only. The programme is delivered entirely in English by UNISR; it is NOT a joint or double degree and there is no partner-institution campus. The call states that because the course is held entirely in English, no Italian-language knowledge is tested at admission. The admission test itself, and the candidate's answers, must also be in English.

AY 2026/2027 EU round (still open at the time of research, 6 September 2026): online registration on the UniSR Admission Portal opened 30 July 2026 at noon and closes 11 September 2026 at 12:00 (Italian time). Candidates attending an international university/college or holding a non-Italian qualification must register at least 5 days before the deadline (i.e. by ~6 September 2026), because they can only register after UNISR has evaluated their academic documents. Registration is complete only once the EUR 150 fee is paid. Test: 19 September 2026 at 10:00 (Italian time). Ranking published within 15 days of the final test session; online enrolment opens the day after publication of the ranking and stays open for three consecutive working days, closing at 15:00 on the third working day. Reserve-list recalls must be finalised by 15:00 on the third working day after the recall. Degree must be obtained by 31 December 2026.

AY 2026/2027 non-EU round (ALREADY CLOSED at the time of research, 6 September 2026): registration ran from 21 April 2026 (per the UNISR admissions webpage; the call itself says "from the date of publication of this call") to 15 May 2026 at 12:00 (Italian time), with the same 5-day-earlier rule for holders of non-Italian qualifications. Test: 21 May 2026, home-based (make-up session 25 May 2026 for authorised candidates). Online enrolment for candidates ranked 1–12: from 1 July 2026 at 12:00 to 20 July 2026 at 12:00; ranking scrolling (scorrimento) from 21 July 2026, further scrolling notices from 16:00 on the third following working day. Degree must be obtained by 31 December 2026. NOTE: neither the non-EU call nor the UNISR immigration page mentions Universitaly pre-enrolment or a visa cut-off date for this programme; the call only says UNISR may request further documentation on the study visa and residence permit, and that non-EU students must obtain a student visa before starting.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

Restricted access run entirely by UNISR (no partner institution is involved in the selection). Entry qualification: an Italian three-year Bachelor's Degree (Law no. 910 of 11 December 1969, art. 1) in class L-2 "Biotecnologie" or class L-13 "Scienze Biologiche" under Ministerial Decree 270, or the corresponding older classes under D.M. 509/99 (Class 1 – Biotecnologie, Class 12 – Scienze Biologiche), or a pre-reform five-year (quinquennale) degree in Scienze Biologiche or Biotecnologie, subject to verification of the adequacy of the candidate's personal preparation. Equivalent foreign qualifications are accepted if recognised as equivalent under the MUR circular "Procedures for entry, residency and enrolment of international students…" (the EU call cites the circular of 30 April 2026 valid for AY 2026-2027 and 2027-2028; the non-EU call, issued earlier, still cites the 1 April 2025 circular for 2025-2026 and subsequent amendments). Candidates in the final year of a university/college programme may sit the test but must obtain the degree and send self-certification or an official degree-award certificate by 31 December 2026 (to enrolment.biotechnologyEU@unisr.it for the EU round, enrolment.biotechnologyNONEU@unisr.it for the non-EU round), otherwise they lose the right to enrol. The UNISR Admissions & Credential Evaluation Office performs a preliminary check of academic documents before a candidate holding a non-Italian qualification can register for the test — such candidates must register at least 5 days before the registration deadline. No minimum GPA and no specific CFU/credit threshold is published for this programme (unlike UNISR's Health Informatics, which publishes credit thresholds). Final verification of the entrance qualification happens at the enrolment stage; candidates without a suitable qualification or academic path at enrolment lose their ranking position.

Dil yeterliliği

English at CEFR level B2 is mandatory to attend the programme, but it is NOT required to register for or sit the admission test. Candidates must submit an English-language proficiency certificate at B2 level of the CEFR issued by one of the certifying bodies recognised by UNISR (list at https://www.unisr.it/en/servizi/ammissioni/certificazioni-linguistiche). A copy of the certificate is uploaded during online enrolment "if already available"; the final deadline for submitting it is the end of the first semester of the programme. Exemptions: native English speakers, and candidates who have completed at least two consecutive years immediately preceding enrolment within the same academic programme whose curriculum was delivered entirely and exclusively in English. (The non-EU call wording of the exemption omits the "native speaker" clause and only covers the two-consecutive-years-in-English case.) No Italian-language requirement: the call states explicitly that Italian is not tested because the course is entirely in English; no Italian-language support course is mentioned in the calls.

  • UNISR's own admission test (no TOLC, no SAT, no GRE; no other exam or score can substitute it). Delivery: home-based, from the candidate's own workstation, with remote video proctoring via ProctorExam (test provider Selexi S.r.l.); requires a laptop/Mac with webcam and microphone, Google Chrome 81+ with the ProctorExam plug-in, an internet connection of at least 1.5 Mbps up/down, and a smartphone or tablet with camera running the ProctorExam app as a second (rear-facing) camera. Registration fee: EUR 150, paid by PayPal (card without a PayPal account accepted) within 15 minutes of booking the session; non-refundable in all circumstances. CONTENT (per Art. 5 of both 2026/2027 calls): the test is entirely in English and is based on comprehension and analysis of an English-language scientific article, with multiple-choice and open questions on chemistry, mathematics and biological sciences relating to the article. Scoring: formulation of a title and an abstract by the candidate = 0 to 30 points
  • 2 open/free-response questions requiring a short written text = 0 to 15 points each
  • 19 multiple-choice questions = +2 for a correct answer, 0 for an omitted answer, -0.75 for a wrong or invalidated answer. Total time: 180 minutes. Ranking: sum of test scores up to a theoretical maximum of 98 points, plus up to 2 further points for optional additional qualifications (scientific publications, laboratory internships in Italy or abroad unrelated to the thesis internship) uploaded at registration; ties are broken in favour of the younger candidate. Ranking published within 15 days of the final test session on the UNISR online Board and on the graduatorie-immatricolazioni pages. For the non-EU round a make-up session (sessione di recupero) was scheduled for 25 May 2026 for candidates authorised after reporting technical/connectivity failures to admissions@unisr.it by 23:59 CET on 22 May 2026. CONFLICT: the UNISR admissions webpage's "Information on the Admission Test" box describes a different format — "60 questions … 36 questions on logic, problem-solving and reading comprehension

  • Coverage is for AY 2026/2027, the target year, and both rounds were located as official Chancellor's Decrees. Open issues: (1) TEST-FORMAT CONFLICT — the UNISR admissions webpage's "Information on the Admission Test" box states 60 multiple-choice questions (36 logic/problem-solving/reading + 24 scientific subjects), 80 minutes, +1/-0.25 scoring, whereas Art. 5 of BOTH governing calls (DR_10131 EU and DR_10019 non-EU) specifies a scientific-article comprehension test with a title+abstract task (0-30 pts), 2 open questions (0-15 pts each) and 19 MCQs (+2/0/-0.75) over 180 minutes, max 98 points. entry_exam_or_test follows the calls, which are the legally binding documents; the webpage box looks stale or copied from another UNISR programme. This field is marked uncertain until UNISR reconciles the two. (2) PLACE-COUNT WORDING CONFLICT inside the EU call itself: the Foreword says "60 places are reserved for European candidates", while Art. 1 says 60 total "of which 48 are reserved for EU citizens"; the 48/12 split in Art. 1 matches the admissions webpage and the non-EU call, so 48 EU + 12 non-EU is taken as correct. (3) The non-EU round for 2026/2027 had already CLOSED at the time of research (6 September 2026): registration closed 15 May 2026, test 21 May 2026, enrolment closed 20 July 2026. The EU round was still open (closes 11 September 2026). (4) NAME/URL MISMATCH — the programme is now officially "Biotechnology for Innovative Therapeutics" everywhere on unisr.it, but every URL still uses the former name slug "biotechnology-medical-biology" (programme page, admissions page, rankings pages); aggregators such as TopUniversities and Mastersportal may still list "Biotechnology and Medical Biology". Future re-scrapes must treat the two names as one programme. (5) The two calls cite DIFFERENT MUR circulars for foreign-qualification recognition (EU call: 30 April 2026 circular for 2026-2027/2027-2028; non-EU call, published earlier: 1 April 2025 circular for 2025-2026 and subsequent amendments) — a drafting artefact of the earlier non-EU decree, not a substantive difference. (6) The non-EU call is published only as an 18-page SCANNED PDF in Italian with no text layer, and no English translation of the non-EU call is offered; its content was read page by page from rendered images, so exact non-EU quotes are transcriptions from images rather than machine-extracted text. (7) UNIVERSITALY — neither call nor the UNISR immigration page mentions Universitaly pre-enrolment or a visa-application cut-off date for this programme; only a generic student-visa requirement and UNISR's right to request visa/residence-permit documentation. Universitaly pre-enrolment is almost certainly required under the general MUR procedures cited by the call, but it is not stated in any UNISR source of record, so it is omitted from required_documents. (8) No minimum GPA and no CFU/credit threshold is published for this programme; the calls rely on degree class (L-2 / L-13 and equivalents) plus a general "verification of the adequacy of the candidate's personal preparation". (9) tuition_or_fees_link points to the general UNISR bachelor/master fees page, which confirms EUR 7,890 in three instalments for this programme in AY 2026/2027; the currency is EUR (no CHF component — this programme is not a joint degree). (10) degree_class label "Biotecnologie mediche, veterinarie e farmaceutiche" is the standard Italian ministerial label for LM-9 and is not spelled out on the UNISR pages; only the code "LM-9" is published.
