Resmî Eğitim Dili

English. Joint/double-degree programme taught across two campuses in two countries: fall semesters (1st and 3rd) are taught at USI in Lugano, Switzerland; spring semesters (2nd and 4th) are taught at UniSR in Milan, Italy. Italian is nevertheless required in practice: before the Master's thesis all students must sit the Italian state licensing exam, held by a commission of psychologists at UniSR, which requires command of the Italian language. The curriculum includes targeted elective courses covering Italian-language preparation for that exam.

AB / AEA adayları

For a.y. 2026/2027, applications open 9 December 2025. The official UniSR Call for admission (Art. 3) and the USI application page both set 30 June 2026 as the deadline for Italian and/or Swiss citizens, European citizens and non-European citizens with EU-equivalent status (Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Republic of San Marino and Vatican City are counted in the EU quota; the Call also lists Switzerland in the EU-equivalent footnote). USI adds that late applications may be accepted until 31 August 2026, and only where places remain. Note the conflict: the UniSR admissions page states the EU deadline as "within August 31, 2026", which appears to conflate the late-application cut-off with the actual deadline — treat 30 June 2026 as the binding date.

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

30 April 2026 for non-EU citizens NOT residing in a European Union country or in Switzerland, i.e. international candidates who require a visa. Both the UniSR Call for admission (Art. 3), the UniSR admissions page and the USI application page agree on this date for a.y. 2026/2027, so as of 6 September 2026 this round has already closed. Visa-linked financial cut-off: students who need a visa must pay the entire first-year fee of CHF 4,000 in a single payment by 31 May 2026. Because enrolment and the visa are processed on the Swiss side via USI Lugano, no Italian Universitaly pre-enrolment step is published in the Call — see uncertainty_notes.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

Admission is governed jointly by the Swiss KPSYCH (Committee for the Academic Psychology Programs at Swiss Universities) and the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit through the UniSR Call for Admission; the application itself is processed and validated by USI's Faculty admission officers, so USI runs the operational selection while UniSR issues the governing bando (Chancellor's Decree n. 8113). Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a Major in Psychology from a recognised university. Italian candidates need a Bachelor's degree in class L-24 'Scienze e tecniche psicologiche' (D.M. 270), or class 34 under the former D.M. 509/99, or a former five-year Psychology degree. Where the qualification is of another type, at least 88 university credits in the 'M-PSI' Scientific Disciplinary Sectors must appear on the transcript, and an appointed Committee assesses the study programmes of those M-PSI subjects on the basis of documentation attached to the application. USI additionally requires: the degree certificate issued by a recognised higher education institution in the country of study; at least three years of study / 180 ECTS; 80% of credits obtained at a recognised higher education institution; at least 50% of credits earned at the university that issued the degree; a minimum of 88 ECTS across various fields of psychology; at least 30 ECTS in statistics and research methodology as specified by KPSYCH; and an average grade of at least 24/30 (Italian system) or 8/10 (Swiss system). Because the degree qualifies for the practice of psychology, practical activities certified in the Bachelor's transcript are assessed during selection. Foreign (non-Italian) qualifications are assessed under the MUR Ministerial Circular of 1 April 2025 on entry, residency and enrolment of international students. Candidates who have not yet graduated may apply provided they complete all Bachelor exams by 11 September 2026 and obtain the final qualification by 11 December 2026; class attendance is compulsory from the start of the first semester regardless. Separately, under Italian DM 654/2022 students must acquire 10 credits of practical training activities; those already carried out and certified during the Bachelor may be recognised, otherwise the internship is completed in addition to the 120 ECTS before the final exam.

Sınav / değerlendirme

No entrance examination and no written or oral admission test. There is no UniSR test (unlike other UniSR programmes) and no partner-run test. Selection is document-based: candidates are admitted according to the chronological order of applications, subject to two published criteria — an average mark equal to or higher than 24/30, and the motivational letter. An appointed Commission (chaired by Prof. Clelia Di Serio, Prof. Antonio Malgaroli and Prof. Peter Schulz, appointed by the Faculty of Psychology Council on 16 December 2025) assesses M-PSI coursework where the candidate's qualification is not a standard psychology Bachelor. Fee separate from tuition: a non-refundable registration/application fee of CHF 100 is payable via Saferpay before submitting the application form; no waiver is possible. Candidates whose previous degree studies were completed in a country signatory to the Lisbon Convention (a list of 58 countries including Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK, the USA, Australia, Canada, Russia and all EU states) are exempt from this fee. If the candidate enrols, the fee is deducted from the first semester's tuition; it is not refunded on withdrawal or rejection.

  • CURRENCY: Tuition is billed in Swiss francs, not euros, and no conversion has been applied here. The 2026/2027 Call sets total tuition at CHF 16,000 for the two years, paid in four semester instalments of CHF 4,000. The application/registration fee is a separate CHF 100, waived for candidates whose previous degree was completed in a Lisbon Convention country (Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK, the USA and all EU states are on that list). One euro figure does exist alongside the CHF amounts: the UniSR fees page states that for a.y. 2026/2027 the Italian regional fee (tassa regionale) is EUR 190.00; it is not clear from the page whether this regional fee is charged to students of this joint programme who are administratively enrolled at USI, so it should not be assumed. Separately, USI has announced that from a.y. 2027/28 the semester fee rises to CHF 5,000 (reduced to CHF 2,000 for Swiss nationals and certain Switzerland-resident categories); students enrolled before 2027/28 keep the fee in force at initial enrolment, so a 2026/27 entrant should retain CHF 4,000 per semester, but the CHF 16,000 two-year total is only guaranteed by the 2026/27 Call and not separately restated on the USI fees page. || EU DEADLINE CONFLICT (the main unresolved point): the UniSR admissions page states the EU/Swiss deadline as 'within August 31, 2026', whereas the governing UniSR Call for admission (Art. 3, Chancellor's Decree n. 8113) and the USI application page both state 30 June 2026, with 31 August 2026 described by USI only as the last date on which LATE applications 'may be accepted' and 'only in the case of available places'. The UniSR page appears to have conflated the late-application cut-off with the deadline. 30 June 2026 has been treated as binding because the Call is the legal instrument, but applicants should verify with UniSR/USI directly. || ADMISSION TYPE CONFLICT: the UniSR programme page labels the programme 'Open access', but this is inaccurate as a description of the actual procedure — the Call caps places at 30 under Italian law 264/99, imposes a minimum average of 24/30, requires a motivational letter as an assessed criterion, and admits in chronological order of application. It has therefore been recorded as 'selection call' rather than 'open access', and admission_type is flagged uncertain purely because of that contradiction between UniSR's own two pages. There is no written or oral entrance examination for this programme, which is unusual among UniSR programmes. || YEAR/ROUND STATUS: 2026/2027 data was available and has been used throughout. As of the research date of 6 September 2026, BOTH rounds for a.y. 2026/2027 have already closed — the non-EU round on 30 April 2026 and the EU round on 30 June 2026 (or 31 August 2026 on the late/UniSR-page reading). The Art. 5 re-opening round may or may not have been triggered; no dates for it were published at the time of research. || STALE MARKETING PAGE: the canonical UniSR programme page still advertises 'the admission procedures (a.y. 2025/2026) are already open' and gives a bare '30 April' visa deadline without a year, i.e. it has not been updated for 2026/2027 even though the 2026/2027 Call is published on the UniSR admissions page and on usi.ch. All year-specific values here come from the Call and the USI pages, not the programme page. || QUOTAS NOT SPLIT: places_eu and places_non_eu are both recorded as 'not split' because the Call publishes a single pool of 30 places with no EU/non-EU reservation. This differs from most other UniSR programmes and is a genuine feature of the joint programme, not a missing value. || UNIVERSITALY / DECLARATION OF VALUE: neither the Call, the UniSR admissions page nor the USI application page mentions Universitaly pre-enrolment, a Declaration of Value (Dichiarazione di Valore) or a CIMEA statement of comparability for this programme. This is consistent with enrolment and the study visa being handled on the Swiss side by USI rather than through the Italian MUR route, but it could not be positively confirmed, so required_documents is flagged uncertain: non-EU applicants should confirm with USI whether any Italian-side pre-enrolment step applies given that semesters 2 and 4 are taught in Milan. The Call does refer non-Italian-qualification candidates to the MUR Ministerial Circular of 1 April 2025 for recognition purposes. Note also that the Circular cited in the 2026/2027 Call is captioned as valid for a.y. 2025/2026, an inconsistency in the Call itself. || SOURCE/DOMAIN NOTE: the English Call PDF is hosted on both unisr.it and content.usi.ch; the two files were downloaded and verified byte-for-byte identical in extracted text (9,078 characters), so the unisr.it copy has been cited as the source of record. The PDF itself states that only the Italian version has legal value and that the English text is for information purposes only. Per the task's instruction, official_call_url holds the usi.ch application portal (where applications are actually submitted, via https://application.lu.usi.ch/intro.aspx); the governing Call PDF URL is preserved throughout source_quotes. || LM-51 is stated in the Call; the UniSR programme page does not display a degree class, so this value rests on the Call alone.
