EU Deadline

2026/27: application deadline for the Fall semester is 16 April 2026, 23:59:59 Central European Time, on apply.unimib.it (foreign-degree candidates) / Segreterie OnLine (Italian-degree candidates). Multiple internal calls may run within the wider UNIMIB international calendar (1st call window opens January 2026).

Non-EU Deadline

Non-EU candidates requiring an entry visa apply within the same 2026/27 international window via apply.unimib.it; per the UNIMIB international calendar, visa applicants must apply early to meet the 31 January 2027 arrival-in-Italy deadline and the 28 February 2027 original-document verification deadline.

Akademik Koşullar

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent foreign qualification) granting access to LM-17. Required prior coursework in physics (FIS/*), biology (BIO/*) and chemistry (CHIM/*) scientific-disciplinary sectors, with the per-sector minimum CFU thresholds set in the official Annex to the Rector's Decree (Manifesto degli Studi LM Optometry and Vision Science). Verification of curricular requirements and personal preparation is performed by the Admission Committee.

Dil Koşulları

Minimum English proficiency at CEFR level B2. Accepted certifications follow the UNIMIB-wide list and include IELTS (typically 6.0–6.5 at B2), TOEFL iBT, Cambridge English (FCE/CAE) and equivalents. Candidates who do not hold a valid certificate can take the English test at the University.

Sınav / Test

Open with entry requirements examination: candidates apply through apply.unimib.it (foreign degree) or Segreterie OnLine (Italian degree); the Admission Committee evaluates curricular fit (FIS/BIO/CHIM CFU), CV and supporting documents, with a possible motivational interview where preparation is not sufficiently documented.
