Resmî Eğitim Dili

Fully English-taught. The programme page states "The Programme is entirely delivered in English", and the apply.iulm.it course record gives "Study language: English". All admission tests are held in English ("written test in English", "The admissions test ... oral test"). There is no Italian-taught component of the curriculum. However, section 5 of the admission regulations imposes a separate Italian-language obligation that is NOT an entry condition but a graduation condition: candidates who are not native Italian speakers and/or non-Italian citizens must declare their Italian level when applying for the admission test and must obtain, by the end of their studies, a qualification attesting to written and oral proficiency in Italian.

  • Non-EU applicants residing abroad apply through the dedicated international platform apply.iulm.it, not through the standard Italian online procedure. The international procedure page states that non-EU applicants living abroad can submit their application on apply.iulm.it "subject to availability of places" for the master's course concerned, "by the end of April" - so the nominal non-EU cut-off for a.y. 2026/2027 was the end of April 2026. In practice, because this programme still had places, IULM's regulations expressly reserve the later sessions to non-EU candidates: sessions 3, 4 and 5 are flagged "only if places still available or only for non-EU students", and the fifth-session written test was held on 8 September 2026.
  • Steps: (1) submit the application with all required documents on apply.iulm.it for an assessment of qualifications
  • (2) pay the application fee (apply.iulm.it lists "Application fee EUR 60 one-time"; the admission regulations separately set the admission test fee at EUR 110)

Akademik geçmiş
  • PLACES: 100 places for a.y. 2026/2027 ("1. Number of places available for the academic year 2026/2027 - 100 places"). The Italian-language version of the same admission regulations states the identical figure ("1. Posti disponibili per l'A.A. 2026/2027 - 100 posti"), and both the English and the Italian registration pages state 100 - so, unlike some other IULM programmes in this research, NO quota discrepancy exists between the English and Italian pages for this programme. The programme page classifies it as a "Course with scheduled number of places with selective knowledge testing".
  • CANDIDATE CATEGORIES: (a) internal graduates/undergraduates of the IULM Bachelor's in Tourism, Management and Culture (Turismo, management e cultura, and previous degree courses of the Faculty)
  • (b) external graduates/undergraduates from other universities or from other IULM courses

  • ENGLISH - minimum CEFR B2, and it is a gate to the admission test itself: "Only candidates, both internal and external, who have demonstrated proficiency in the English language to a level of not less than B2 will be admitted to the following tests". The same applies to foreign candidates. Proficiency is verified in one of four alternative ways (section 4 of the admission regulations, "Language requirement: English language proficiency to at least level B2"):
  • 1. A language certificate obtained after 1 January 2024: IELTS with a score of at least 5.5
  • TOEFL iBT with a score of at least 87

  • Restricted-access programme with a genuinely TWO-STAGE admission test - a written test followed, on a separate later date, by an oral test. This is confirmed by section 9 of the admission regulations and by the session calendars, which list a distinct "written test" (prova scritta) date and "oral test" (prova orale) date for every session.
  • FEE: EUR 110. "Registration for the test requires payment of a fee of EUR 110. All candidates, both internal and external, must apply for admission to the test and pay the corresponding fee (even those admitted directly). The test enrolment fee is not refundable under any circumstances (with the exception of failure to take the test due to the exhaustion of available places or at the behest of the University's governing bodies)." Failure to attend for any reason gives no right to reimbursement. "Non-payment of the participation fee or payment after the deadline set for each session will preclude admission to the test."
  • GATE: only candidates who have already demonstrated English at CEFR B2 or above (certificate, English-taught Bachelor's, or a pass in IULM's free online Assessment Test / Oxford Placement Test at B2+ in both the Listening and Use of English sections) are admitted to the two tests. Assessment Test dates: 1 Dec 2025; 20 Jan and 25 Feb 2026; 9 Apr and 28 Apr 2026; 25 Jun 2026; 4 Sep 2026 (session 5, per the general master's calendar).

  • YEAR COVERED: all figures are for academic year 2026/2027, taken from the programme-specific English admission regulations "Modalita ammissione LM HTM 2026_2027_ENG.pdf" (Faculty Board meeting 13/10/2025, revised Faculty Board meeting 3/3/2026), its Italian twin "Modalita ammissione LM HTM 2026_2027.pdf", and the 2026/2027 fee regulations (Rector's Decree no. 21472 of 27 November 2025). No 2025/2026 fallback was needed. TWO-STAGE WRITTEN + ORAL TEST - CONFIRMED. Section 9 of the regulations sets out a written test in English (closed-ended questions plus one open-ended question, testing logical, critical and verbal reasoning plus basic disciplinary knowledge) followed by a separate oral test before a commission of at least two members, and every session calendar lists two distinct dates. Foreign-qualification candidates take a modified version: the written test WITHOUT the open-ended question, and instead of the live oral, they upload videos answering set questions to apply.iulm.it. Both stages are held online. This is the only IULM English-taught master's programme found in this research with a two-stage format. PROGRAMME NOT FULL/CLOSED BEFORE THE FINAL SESSION - the opposite of what was seen for other IULM programmes. IULM's fourth- and fifth-session news items list Hospitality and Tourism Management with live test dates (2 July 2026, then written 8 September / oral 11 September 2026) while expressly naming Marketing, Consumer Behaviour and Communication (English) and Strategic Communication as sold out. Places therefore remained available through the fifth session, and the effective final application deadline for a.y. 2026/2027 was 31 August 2026 (enrolment by 18 September 2026). The apply.iulm.it record shows only "Application period has ended" for 2026/27, with no full-capacity message. QUOTA DISCREPANCY CHECK - NONE FOUND. The English regulations PDF, the Italian regulations PDF, the English registration page and the Italian registration page all state 100 places for a.y. 2026/2027. The English/Italian quota mismatch observed elsewhere in this research does not occur for this programme. RANKING CRITERIA COMPLETELY ABSENT - THE LARGEST GAP. Unlike the Strategic Communication regulations, which publish a detailed merit-point scale, per-session CFU thresholds, internal-candidate direct-admission quotas and tie-break rules, the Hospitality and Tourism Management regulations (checked in both language versions, all 5 pages, sections 1-13) contain NO ranking-list section at all. Unknown: how the written and oral scores are weighted or combined; whether each stage has its own pass mark; whether the oral is conditional on passing the written; whether Bachelor's degree grade or exam average contributes merit points; how many of the 100 places are allocated to each session; the tie-break rule; and whether internal Tourism, Management and Culture graduates enjoy any preferential route (they are listed as an eligible category but no exemption from the test is stated for them). Prospective applicants must contact ammissioni.magistrali@iulm.it for these rules. TEST DURATION AND STRUCTURE NOT QUANTIFIED. Neither the number of closed-ended questions, the time allowed, the maximum score, nor the pass threshold is published for the written test; no duration or scoring rubric is published for the oral test or for the video submission. Only the four-subject recommended bibliography (Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, Territory) indicates the topic coverage. EXTRAORDINARY-SESSION DATE CONFLICT BETWEEN THE ENGLISH AND ITALIAN PAGES. Both registration pages show an extraordinary session that does not appear in either version of the regulations PDF. The English page (.../hospitality-tourism-management/iscrizioni) gives written test 4 June 2026 and oral test 11 June 2026; the Italian page (.../it/.../hospitality-tourism-management/iscrizioni) gives written test 04/06/26 but oral test 06/07/26 (6 July 2026), which is the same date as the fourth session's oral and looks like a data-entry error on the Italian page. The English date (11 June 2026) is reported above as the more plausible reading, but this could not be resolved from a third IULM source. The general master's enrolment calendar lists an "exceptional session" enrolment deadline of 29 June 2026, which is consistent with a June oral test. UCF FIRST-YEAR MARK REQUIREMENT - REGULATIONS AND PROGRAMME PAGE DISAGREE. The admission regulations require five named first-year exams (Hospitality and Service Management 6 CFU, Tourism Marketing 18 CFU, Human Resource Management in Tourism 6 CFU, Geography for Sustainable Tourism Development 9 CFU, Accounting and Financial Management in Tourism 6 CFU) each to be "passed with a mark of at least 26/30". The English programme page instead summarises the condition as "an average of no less than 26.5/30 in the first year at IULM". These are different tests (a per-exam floor versus an overall average, and 26 versus 26.5). The regulations PDF, as the governing document, should be treated as authoritative; the discrepancy is flagged here because the programme page is the more visible source. OULU TRACK REQUIREMENTS PUBLISHED ONLY ON THE PROGRAMME PAGE. Section 6 of the regulations sets out supplementary requirements for the UCF track ONLY. The Oulu (Sustainable Destination Management and Communication) requirements - TOEFL 92 with at least 20 in writing, or IELTS 6.5 with at least 5.5 in each section - appear only on the English programme page, with no GPA threshold, no first-year exam-mark threshold, no WES-equivalent credential-evaluation step, no deadline for producing the certificate, and no quota of Oulu places. Whether a further Oulu-side selection exists is not stated on any iulm.it page. Likewise, no quota or internal-selection rule is published for the UCF places, so it is unknown whether meeting the stated thresholds guarantees the dual-degree place or merely qualifies a student to compete for it. APPLY.IULM.IT DOCUMENT LIST NOT PROGRAMME-SPECIFIC. The apply.iulm.it record for this programme (course 57) states the entry qualification, the English requirement and the fees, but - unlike the Strategic Communication record - it does not display a "Specific requirements" block naming the motivation letter, reference letter or Universitaly visa step. Those items are listed generically on the international procedure page and have been carried into required_documents on that basis; they were not confirmed on a page specific to this programme. The apply.iulm.it pages return HTTP 403 to WebFetch and were read via a direct HTTP request on 6 September 2026. Note the platform also carries a separate legacy record "MA International Tourism and Hospitality" (course 36) - the current record for this programme is course 57. ITALIAN-LANGUAGE GRADUATION REQUIREMENT NOT QUANTIFIED. The regulations require non-native-Italian speakers to obtain "by the end of their course of studies the required qualification attesting to written and oral proficiency in Italian" and refer to a separate document, "Procedures for the assessment and acquisition of knowledge of the Italian language", which was not retrieved. The CEFR level and accepted certificates for that graduation requirement are therefore unknown; the CILS/CELI/PLIDA B2 standard on the general international-prerequisites page applies expressly to Italian-taught courses. FEE FIGURES. The linked fee PDF covers students whose family resides abroad (single contribution band): for a first-year master's student, EUR 10,806 total (enrolment fee 250 + regional tax 206 + student services 90 + university fee 10,260), payable as EUR 2,000 first instalment plus EUR 146 regional tax advance on enrolment, EUR 5,300 plus EUR 60 regional tax balance by 14/12/2026, and EUR 3,300 by 31/03/2027 - matching the EUR 10,806 per year shown on apply.iulm.it. A reduced band of EUR 4,646 total applies to students from developing countries listed in Ministerial Decree no. 166/2025. Students assessed on an Italian ISEE pay according to the separate general fee regulations, which were not extracted. Late payments incur a EUR 50 penalty (under EUR 3,000) or EUR 100 (above). No tuition figure is published on iulm.it for the second year spent at UCF or Oulu, and whether partner-university fees apply is not stated.
