Fully English-taught. The programme page states Language: 'English' and 'Language in which the course is held: English'. It is the parallel English-language track of the Italian course 'Marketing, consumi e comunicazione'; a candidate may not sit the admission test for both parallel courses in the same session. Note that non-native-Italian-speaking / non-Italian candidates admitted to the English course must still obtain a certificate attesting written and oral proficiency in Italian by the end of their studies (not required at admission).

Academic year 2026/2027. Applications opened on 11 November 2025 via my.iulm.it (registration, then admission-test enrolment with payment of the EUR 110 fee). Five sessions were planned. Application (test-registration) deadlines: 1st session by 25 November 2025
2nd session by 19 February 2026
3rd session by 23 April 2026 (only if places still available or only for non-EU students)
Non-EU applicants residing abroad follow the international procedure: submit the application on apply.iulm.it for assessment of qualifications, pay the application fee, receive an eligibility outcome in approximately 15 working days, sit the online admission test, then enrol online and pay the first instalment. IULM states: 'Non-EU applicants living abroad can submit their application on apply.iulm.it, subject to availability of places for the two-year master degree course in which they are interested, by the end of April.' Student visa applications must be submitted via the Universitaly platform 'from March to the end of May'. Sessions 3 and 4 of the admission test are explicitly kept open for non-EU students even when places for other candidates are limited ('only if places still available or only for non-EU students'). Holders of a foreign qualification must complete enrolment no later than 31 January 2027, submitting a Type D study visa (where required), the codice fiscale, the admission qualification in the original language with Italian translation, and a CIMEA Statement of Comparability/verification or Dichiarazione di Valore; failure to do so annuls the 2026/27 enrolment with no refund. The first instalment is non-refundable, the only exception being documented student-visa denial by the Italian Embassy or Consulate. Concession: for foreign candidates admitted to the remote admissions test, the enrolment fee is reduced by 50% and may be waived if the test is taken through a Recruiting Agent. No programme-specific non-EU deadline is published beyond the 'end of April' apply.iulm.it cut-off and the session deadlines above.
Restricted access with a planned number of places: 260 places in total for the twin courses, of which 80 places are reserved for the English-taught 'Marketing, Consumer Behaviour and Communication' (180 for the Italian-taught course). Prior qualification: a first-cycle (Bachelor's) degree, awarded or about to be awarded. Curricular requirement - at least one of: (1a) a Bachelor's degree in one of the Italian degree classes L-3, L-11, L-12, L-14, L-15, L-16, L-18, L-20, L-24, L-31, L-33, L-36, L-40, or an equivalent foreign degree qualification; or (1b) for graduates of other classes, at least 60 CFU credits in the listed scientific-disciplinary sectors (IUS/07, IUS/09; L-LIN/12; SECS-P/01-P/03, P/05-P/11, P/13; SPS/01, SPS/04, SPS/07, SPS/08, SPS/09, SPS/11, SPS/12; SECS-S/01-S/06; MAT/05, MAT/06, MAT/08, MAT/09; M-PSI/01, M-PSI/05, M-PSI/06; INF/01), acquired within the three-year degree, via single university courses, or via a university master. Applications from AFAM institute graduates are not accepted. Undergraduates may sit the test with a minimum number of registered CFU per session (90 CFU by 25 Nov 2025 for session 1, later re-verified at 120 CFU by 15 Feb 2026; 120 CFU by 15 Feb 2026 for session 2; 130 CFU by 23 Apr 2026 for session 3; 130 CFU by 18 Jun 2026 for session 4), and must graduate by 31 December 2026. Ranking for external candidates: admission test score plus merit points (Bachelor's degree grade: up to 88/110 = 0 pts; 89-98 = 1 pt; 99-110 = 2 pts; 110 cum laude = 3 pts; for undergraduates, average grade: up to 25.99/30 = 0 pts; 26-27.99 = 1 pt; 28-29.99 = 2 pts; 30/30 = 3 pts). Total score (test + merit) >= 23 = admitted; 18 to <23 = waiting list drawn up at the last available session; <18 = ineligible. A maximum of 125 candidates in total is admitted across the first two sessions for external candidates (95 Italian course / 30 English course), and a maximum of 125 for internal candidates (85 Italian / 40 English). Internal IULM graduates/undergraduates from 'Comunicazione d'impresa e relazioni pubbliche' or 'Corporate Communication and Public Relations' applying in sessions 1-2 are ranked without taking the test if they have the required CFU and an average mark of at least 25/30 (internal Corporate Communication and Public Relations candidates are also exempt from the English requirement). Foreign candidates (EU and non-EU) with foreign qualifications: curricular requirements are assessed individually by the Admissions team via apply.iulm.it (Bachelor's diploma corresponding to EQF Level 6 and 180 ECTS or more, 'relevant and coherent'), then they sit an online admission test similar to the Italian-qualification one; a score of 20 or above = admitted, below 15 = ineligible. Holders of a foreign qualification must complete enrolment by 31 January 2027 with a Type D study visa (where required), codice fiscale, the qualification in the original language with Italian translation, and authenticity documentation (CIMEA Statement of Comparability/verification or Dichiarazione di Valore).
English at CEFR level B2 or above is a prerequisite for the English-taught course, verified in one of four ways: (1) a language certificate obtained after 1 January 2024 - IELTS with a score of at least 5.5, TOEFL iBT at least 87, or Cambridge English at least 165
(2) a Bachelor's degree (obtained in Italy or abroad) from a course held in English
(3) passing IULM's own Assessment Test (Oxford Placement Test, delivered online free of charge) with at least B2 in both the Listening and Use of English sections; or (4) having already passed the IULM Assessment Test at B2 in both sections during an admission session of a.y. 2025/26 (and not before 1 February 2025). Candidates who do not meet the requirement at registration are automatically placed on the Assessment Test list, held on 1 December 2025 (session 1), 20 January and 25 February 2026 (session 2), 9 April and 28 April 2026 (session 3, only if places remain or only for non-EU students), 25 June 2026 (session 4, same condition), and 4 September 2026 (session 5). So an official certificate is NOT mandatory - IULM's free internal test can substitute for it. Italian: no Italian-language level is required for admission to the English course, but candidates who are not native Italian speakers and/or are not Italian citizens must declare their Italian level when registering for the test and must obtain, by the end of their course of studies, the qualification attesting 'written and oral proficiency' in Italian, per the University's 'Procedures for the assessment and acquisition of knowledge of the Italian language'. For the Italian-taught twin course, English B2 is not required. Note: the general international-students prerequisites page states that for Italian-taught masters an Italian B2 certificate (CILS, CELI, PLIDA) or IULM's Italian online assessment is required - this applies to the Italian course, not to this English curriculum.
Selective online written admission test. Subjects: Fundamentals of Statistics, Marketing, Business Economics, Political Economics, and English. Structure: 40 multiple-choice questions counting towards the ranking, plus 20 additional questions on text comprehension, logic, numerical and verbal reasoning that do NOT count towards the final ranking mark
60 questions in total with a maximum time limit of 50 minutes. No penalty for omitted or incorrect answers. The test for the English course is held in English, in the same subject areas and with the same structure as the Italian twin course, except that the English-language proficiency questions range from B2 to C1 level. Tests are carried out online. Test fee: EUR 110, non-refundable under any circumstances (except when the test cannot be taken because places are exhausted or by decision of the University's governing bodies); a candidate who fails the English course test may apply in the same session for the Italian course test without paying an additional fee, and candidates who fail may re-apply in a later session without paying again, subject to availability of places. A separate free English Assessment Test (Oxford Placement Test, online) is run for candidates who do not already meet the B2 requirement, on 1 December 2025, 20 January / 25 February 2026, 9 April / 28 April 2026, 25 June 2026 and 4 September 2026. Admission-test session dates for 2026/27: 12 December 2025, 5 March 2026, 12 May 2026, 7 July 2026, plus a fifth session to be defined - but the English course was declared sold out before the 4th and 5th sessions. Internal IULM candidates from Comunicazione d'impresa e relazioni pubbliche / Corporate Communication and Public Relations meeting the merit thresholds are ranked without sitting any test in sessions 1-2. No interview stage. Recommended bibliography for test preparation is published in the Admission Procedures document (Kerin et al. 'Marketing'

Year covered: A.Y. 2026/2027 throughout - the programme page, the registration page, the programme-specific Admission Procedures PDF ('Modalita ammissione LM MARKETING 2026_2027_ENG.pdf'), the 2026/2027 tuition regulations (Rector's Decree no. 21472 of 27 November 2025) and the session news items are all 2026/27, so no fallback to 2025/26 was needed. PROGRAMME REPORTED FULL: this English curriculum was declared closed before the final admission sessions of 2026/27. The IULM news item of 25 May 2026 for the IV session states 'For Marketing, Consumer Behaviour and Communication (English language course) and Strategic Communication, seats are sold out', and the news item of 1 July 2026 for the V session repeats 'all available spots have been filled'. Neither the IV- nor the V-session test list includes this programme. Practically, for 2026/27 the last usable entry points were the 1st (12 Dec 2025), 2nd (5 Mar 2026) and 3rd (12 May 2026) sessions. CONTRADICTION: the programme's own Registration page still displays a '4th session 07/07/26' test date and '80 places available', which conflicts with the two news announcements; the news items are more recent and were treated as authoritative for capacity status. Because of this, application_deadline_eu is flagged uncertain - the published calendar is accurate as a schedule but the later sessions were not actually run for this course. application_deadline_non_eu is flagged uncertain because IULM publishes no programme-specific non-EU deadline: only the generic 'by the end of April' apply.iulm.it cut-off plus the shared session deadlines, and the international-procedure page does not state which specific test dates apply to foreign-qualification candidates (the Admission Procedures PDF says these 'are published at the following link' without an inline date list). The application fee charged on apply.iulm.it for document assessment is mentioned but its amount is not published on the international procedure page (the EUR 110 figure is the admission-test fee from the programme regulations). The Admission Procedures PDF carries a garbled revision footer ('Rev. Faculty Board meeting. del 3/3/2/2026'), so a later revision than the one captured may exist. Tuition amounts are not a required field but are recorded in a quote for context: for students whose family resides abroad, the flat 2026/27 first-year master's total is EUR 10,806.00 (EUR 4,646.00 for students from countries listed under Ministerial Decree 166/2025); Italian-resident students are instead assessed on ISEE contribution bands, whose amounts were not extracted. Employment rate 85.7% one year after graduation is from the programme page (Almalaurea Report 2025) and is not an admission field. The apply.iulm.it course listing exists for this programme but was not used as a source of record since only iulm.it/iulm.com pages were cited.
