Fully English-taught. The IULM programme page states the course is "taught entirely in English" and lists the teaching language simply as "English"; the apply.iulm.it course record likewise gives "Study language: English". There is no Italian-taught component of the curriculum. However, the admission regulations impose a separate Italian-language obligation that is NOT an entry condition but a graduation condition: candidates who are not native Italian speakers and/or non-Italian citizens must declare their Italian level when applying and must obtain, by the end of their studies, a qualification attesting to written and oral proficiency in Italian.

Academic year 2026/2027. Applications open 11 November 2025 ("From 11 November 2025, the following categories of candidates will be able to apply for admission following the online procedure"). The overall master's registration period runs 11 November 2025 - 31 August 2026.
Five admission sessions are foreseen for Strategic Communication. Per session: [application deadline] -> [test date] -> [enrolment confirmation deadline]
- Session 1: apply by 25 November 2025 (registration for session 1 opened 11 November 2025 at 10:00 and closed 25 November 2025 at 23:59) -> test 10 December 2025 -> enrol by 15 January 2026.
Non-EU applicants residing abroad apply through the dedicated international platform apply.iulm.it, not through the standard Italian online procedure. The international procedure page states: "Non-EU applicants living abroad can submit their application on apply.iulm.it, subject to availability of places for the two-year master degree course in which they are interested, by the end of April." So the effective non-EU application cut-off for a.y. 2026/2027 was the end of April 2026.
Steps: (1) submit the application with all required documents on apply.iulm.it
(2) pay the application fee (apply.iulm.it lists "Application fee EUR 60 one-time"; the IULM admission regulations separately set the admission test fee at EUR 110, and for foreign candidates admitted to the remote admissions test "the enrolment fee is reduced by 50%, and may be waived if the test is carried out through a Recruiting Agent")
PLACES: 100 places for a.y. 2026/2027 ("1. Number of places available for the academic year 2026/2027 - 100 places"). The programme page classifies it as a "Course with planned number of places with selective knowledge testing".
PRIOR QUALIFICATION: A first-cycle (Bachelor's) university degree, awarded or about to be awarded. Candidates must expect to graduate before the autumn session of a.y. 2025/26, i.e. before 31 December 2026. For international applicants apply.iulm.it states the entry qualification is an "Undergraduate diploma (or higher) Bachelor's degree" evaluated case by case, and the general IULM master prerequisites page requires "a relevant and coherent Bachelor's degree diploma correspondent to EQF (European Qualification Framework) Level 6 and 180 ECTS or more".
CURRICULAR REQUIREMENTS (route 1 - degree class): the Bachelor's degree must belong to one of the Italian classes L-1 (Cultural heritage), L-10 (Arts), L-11 (Modern languages and cultures), L-12 (Language mediation), L-16 (Administration and organisation), L-18 (Economics and corporate management), L-19 (Education and training), L-20 (Communication), L-24 (Psychology), L-33 (Economics), L-36 (Politics and international relations), L-37 (Social sciences for cooperation, development and peace), L-40 (Sociology), or an equivalent foreign degree qualification.
ENGLISH - minimum CEFR B2, verified in one of four alternative ways (admission regulations, section 4 "Language requirement: English language proficiency to at least level B2"):
1. A language certificate obtained after 1 January 2024: IELTS with a score of at least 5.5
Restricted-access programme with a selective admission test. Fee: EUR 110, "not refundable under any circumstances (with the exception of failure to take the test due to the exhaustion of available places or at the behest of the University's governing bodies)". All candidates must register and pay, including those admitted directly. Non-payment, or payment after the session deadline, bars admission to the test. For foreign candidates admitted to the remote test the enrolment fee is reduced by 50% and may be waived if the test is taken through a Recruiting Agent.
FORMAT - main test: "The admissions test consists of an oral test held in English". "The tests will be carried out online." The assessment commissions comprise at least two members besides the candidate. Set reading for preparation: Invernizzi E., Romenti S. (2023), "Conceptual and Operational Evolution of PR and Corporate Communication", in Invernizzi E., Romenti S. (eds), Corporate Communication and Public Relations Handbook, McGraw-Hill (the chapter is made available to candidates by the University). The test duration is not published. FORMAT - foreign graduates: instead of the oral test, holders of a foreign admission qualification are assessed "by means of a written paper (of no more than 1400 words) based on a case study assigned after the verification of the curricular requirements. The case study assesses the level of knowledge of basic communication and marketing concepts."
PRELIMINARY ENGLISH TEST: candidates without an accepted B2 certificate or an English-taught Bachelor's are automatically scheduled for the free online Assessment Test (Oxford Placement Test), which must be passed at B2 or above in both the Listening and Use of English sections. Dates: 1 Dec 2025; 20 Jan and 25 Feb 2026; 9 Apr and 28 Apr 2026; 25 Jun 2026; session 5 to be defined. (The general IULM master's calendar also lists English assessment dates of 27 May 2026 and 4 September 2026.)
Bachelor's degree diploma (for foreign qualifications: original language plus certified Italian translation where the original is not in an accepted language; apply.iulm.it accepts entry-qualification documents in English, German, French, Italian or Spanish)
Official transcript of records / certificate listing exams taken and passed, with certified translation where required
For undergraduates (not yet graduated): a signed certificate or self-certification issued by their own university expressly specifying the average grade of examinations passed (deadlines: 25 Nov 2025 session 1; 15 Feb 2026 session 2; 23 Apr 2026 session 3; 18 Jun 2026 session 4). A declaration in lieu of certification may be filed online if a certificate cannot be obtained
For graduates: a signed certificate or self-certification with degree grade and exams passed, issued by their own university
English language certificate at CEFR B2 or above obtained after 1 January 2024 (IELTS >=5.5, TOEFL iBT >=87, Cambridge English >=165) - or, in its place, an English-taught Bachelor's degree, or a pass at B2+ in IULM's own Assessment Test
Declaration of the candidate's level of Italian (required of non-native-Italian speakers and/or non-Italian citizens at test application)
9 belge daha
Passport (international applicants)
Curriculum vitae (international applicants, via apply.iulm.it)
Motivation letter in Italian or English ("A motivation letter must be added to your application")
Reference letter in Italian or English (international applicants, via apply.iulm.it)
Proof of payment of the EUR 110 admission test fee (and, for apply.iulm.it applicants, the EUR 60 application fee)
For SSML (Scuole Superiori per Mediatori Linguistici) applicants only: a detailed exam certificate e-mailed in advance to ammissioni.magistrali@iulm.it for individual assessment
For applicants with disabilities, DSA, ADHD or Autism: valid certification uploaded in PDF during the online test enrolment procedure
At enrolment, foreign-qualification holders: Type D study visa where required, codice fiscale (Italian tax code), admission qualification with Italian translation where required, and authenticity documentation (CIMEA Statement of Comparability/verification or Dichiarazione di Valore)
For non-EU applicants: Universitaly pre-enrolment / student visa application submitted to the Italian consular authorities
YEAR COVERED: All figures are for academic year 2026/2027, taken from the English-language admission regulations "Modalita ammissione LM STRATEGIC 2026_2027_ENG.pdf" (Faculty Board meeting 13/10/2025, revised Faculty Board meeting 3/3/2026) and the 2026/2027 tuition regulations (Rector's Decree no. 21472 of 27 November 2025). No 2025/2026 fallback was needed.
PROGRAMME REPORTED FULL/CLOSED BEFORE THE FINAL SESSION - CONFIRMED. IULM's news item of 25 May 2026 announcing the fourth test session states: "For Marketing, Consumer Behaviour and Communication (English language course) and Strategic Communication, seats are sold out." No Strategic Communication test date appears in the session-4 list, and apply.iulm.it shows the 2026/27 application period as ended with the note that applications "are closed since we reached full capacity for this programme". Practical consequence: although the regulations schedule sessions up to a possible fifth, the 100 places were exhausted by session 3 (test 13 May 2026, apply by 23 April 2026). Applicants should treat the November-to-April window as the real one and apply in session 1 or 2. Note also that the regulations already flag sessions 3 and 4 as running "only if places still available or only for non-EU students".
DUAL DEGREE - PARTNER REQUIREMENTS NOT PUBLISHED BY IULM. IULM confirms two dual-degree routes: a Postgraduate Certificate in International Business Management at Cardiff Metropolitan University (UK) and a Graduate Certificate of Strategic Communication at UWA / University of Western Australia (Perth), taken in the second semester of the second year. However, none of the accessible iulm.it / iulm.com / apply.iulm.it / openday.iulm.it pages publishes the partner-side selection criteria - no minimum IULM GPA, no internal quota for the dual-degree places, no partner-specific English-score threshold (Cardiff Met and UWA typically require higher IELTS than IULM's 5.5, but that could not be confirmed from an IULM source and is therefore NOT asserted here), no partner tuition or additional fee, and no separate application deadline for the mobility. The openday.iulm.it page refers to "three Dual Degree opportunities" while the main programme page names two certificates at two universities - this discrepancy is unresolved. Prospective students must contact IULM (admission@iulm.it / ammissioni.magistrali@iulm.it) for the dual-degree selection rules. Note also that apply.iulm.it lists the international course record under the title "MA Strategic Communication - Dual Degree", which suggests the dual-degree route is how the programme is marketed to international applicants, but the admission regulations make no distinction between a dual-degree and a standard track at the admission stage.
ADMISSION TEST DURATION NOT PUBLISHED. The regulations specify the format (an online oral test in English for Italian-qualification candidates; a written case-study paper of max 1400 words for foreign-qualification holders) and the single set reading, but give no duration for either. The number of questions/topics beyond the assigned chapter is likewise not published.
ITALIAN-LANGUAGE GRADUATION REQUIREMENT NOT QUANTIFIED. The regulations require non-native-Italian speakers to obtain "by the end of their course of studies the required qualification attesting to written and oral proficiency in Italian" and refer to a separate document, "Procedures for the assessment and acquisition of knowledge of the Italian language", which was not retrieved. The CEFR level and the accepted certificates for that graduation requirement are therefore unknown; the B2 CILS/CELI/PLIDA standard cited on the general international-prerequisites page applies expressly to Italian-taught programmes, not necessarily to this English-taught one.
FEE FIGURES. The tuition_or_fees_link PDF applies to students whose family resides abroad (single contribution band): EUR 10,806 total for a first-year master's student (EUR 2,000 first instalment + EUR 146 regional tax advance, EUR 5,300 + EUR 60 due by 14/12/2026, EUR 3,300 due by 31/03/2027), matching the EUR 10,806 shown on apply.iulm.it. A reduced band of EUR 4,646 applies to students from developing countries listed in Ministerial Decree no. 166/2025. Students assessed on Italian ISEE pay according to the separate general fee regulations, which were not extracted here. The programme registration page still links the 2025/2026 fee summary alongside the 2026/2027 one.
OTHER. The registration page (".../strategic-communication/iscrizioni") displays only sessions 2 and 3 in its countdown widget; the full five-session calendar comes from the admission regulations PDF and the general master's enrolment page, which lists a fifth session window of 30 June - 31 August 2026 with an 18 September 2026 enrolment deadline and an exceptional 29 June 2026 enrolment date - these general dates are not repeated in the Strategic Communication regulations, which say only "5th session: dates to be defined only if places still available". The apply.iulm.it page could not be retrieved by WebFetch (HTTP 403) and was read via direct HTTP request instead; its content is quoted as displayed on 6 September 2026.
