Bachelor's (Laurea) or 3-year university diploma, or a foreign qualification recognised as suitable. Open access for holders of class L-27 (Scienze e Tecnologie Chimiche) with preparation check. Other bachelors need at least 20 CFU in maths/informatics/physics (PHYS-01..06, MATH-01..06, INFO-01/A) and 55 CFU in chemistry (CHEM-01..08) and biochemistry (BIOS-07/A), plus practical lab skills. Graduates with strong preparation but missing requirements can be admitted with a study debt (bachelor exams assigned by the teaching committee). Holders of class 25 or L-30 with degree grade at least 88/110 are admitted without further checks; all others: curriculum analysis and, if needed, an individual interview. English B2 (CEFR), written and oral, required as part of the preparation check: shown by academic record / self-certification of the awarding university stating the level, or an AICLU-listed certificate; if no certificate, the student may acquire the level after enrolment via the University Language Centre (how-to-apply page) [regulation Art. 3.6 instead says a university test applies: minor wording difference, uncertain which applies in practice]. Visa applicants (non-EU abroad): apply.units.it requires an Italian certificate at B2 minimum (Roma Tre, Siena, Perugia, Reggio Calabria foreign-language universities or Societa Dante Alighieri) or CISIA L2 with at least 50/72, because the course is treated as Italian/bilingual. Certificate needed at preparation check / application.

No written test. Preparation is verified by curriculum review and, if needed, an individual interview; 2026/27 interview dates: 6 Jul 2026, 1 Sep 2026, 23 Nov 2026, 8 Feb 2027. Gaps that can be filled lead to a personalised study plan with extra bachelor exams. A self-assessment questionnaire (xlsx) is provided on the programme page. If English B2 cannot be proven, the regulation says admission depends on a university-set test (regulation Art. 3.6).

• • Preparation check (Esse3): self-declaration/self-certification of exams from the awarding university, curriculum, English proof (self-certification with level or AICLU certificate), self-assessment questionnaire. Enrolment: supplementary enrolment form, valid ID (PDF), tax code certificate, passport-style photo (JPEG), language certificate if applicable, residence permit or proof of request (non-EU). International qualification assessment on apply.units.it: bachelor's degree certificate, transcript with exams and marks, official course descriptions, Diploma Supplement if EU-issued, all legalised/Apostilled (exemptions by country), translation if not Italian/English; no declaration of value
