Admission requires a relevant scientific bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or superior foreign academic qualification. Minimum requirements (from official bando, verbatim): 'A total of 20 ECTS in at least one of the following scientific-disciplinary sectors: Math, Physics, Chemistry and Informatics' AND 'A total of 60 ECTS in the following scientific disciplinary sectors: Engineering, Physics and Geology.' Applicants from three-year degrees (or superior qualifications) in Geological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Physics, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or Computer Sciences generally meet these minimum requirements. The Evaluation Committee additionally assesses the applicant's personal preparation with particular regard to basic knowledge of Mathematics and Physics via CV review and an online interview.
