Applicable university-wide 2026/2027 rounds relevant to EU/EU-equivalent/no-visa applicants: '6th Call - No Visa Applicants' (Italians with foreign qualification, EU and EU-equivalent candidates) - from 1 July 2026 (00:01 CEST) to 20 November 2026 (23:59 CET), covering English-taught & Italian-taught Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. For non-EU (Study VISA) applicants, three sequential rounds apply to Master's programmes for the 2026/2027 intake: '1st Call - Early Bird' from 24 November 2025 (00:01 CET) to 22 December 2025 (23:59 CET); '2nd Call - Visa Applicants' from 1 February 2026 (00:01 CET) to 31 March 2026 (23:59 CEST); '3rd Call - Visa Applicants' from 13 April 2026 (00:01 CEST) to 10 May 2026 (23:59 CEST). Non-refundable EUR 30.00 application fee (covers up to two applications). After a positive evaluation, applicants receive an admission letter and must register on Universitaly (UNIME confirms acceptance there) to start the visa process; for a.y. 2026/2027 the Universitaly deadline is stated as 1 September 2026. Two-portal flow: UniME Application Portal (pre-evaluation) then Universitaly (visa confirmation). Data Science also references a separate 'Movein' pre-selection procedure requiring the UniME Admission letter to be attached to the Movein Preventive Evaluation Request.

Access is free (no numerus clausus), but curricular preparation is verified by an Enrolling Commission before enrolment. Requires either: (a) a three-year (Bachelor's) degree in class L-8 (Information Engineering) or L-31 (Computer Science and Technology) (DM 270/04), or another qualification obtained abroad recognised as suitable, which guarantees direct access; OR (b) a three-year degree, university diploma, equivalent qualification, or foreign qualification recognised as suitable, PLUS at least 24 CFU in scientific-disciplinary sectors INFO-01/A and/or IINF-05/A, AND at least 6 CFU in statistical-mathematical sectors (MATH-02/A, MATH-02/B, MATH-03/A, MATH-03/B, MATH-05/A, MATH-06/A, STAT-04/A, STAT-01/A or STAT-01/B). If the enrolling verification finds curricular prerequisites unmet, the Enrolling Commission identifies additional supplementary learning activities.

Knowledge of English at a level equal to or greater than CEFR B2 is required and is evaluated by the enrolling committee as a necessary condition for successful attendance. In the absence of an English certification/attestation at B2 level, an interview is carried out to verify the applicant's English proficiency. Italian bachelor's-degree graduates finalising enrolment must also submit (by email to enrolling-lmdata@unime.it and protocollo@unime.it) any attestation/certification of English at B2+, alongside their degree certificate and exam list. At the general UniME level, applicants to English-taught programmes must otherwise upload an International English Language Certificate (CEFR B2: IELTS 5.5+, TOEFL iBT 72+, Cambridge English B2 First+, PTE General Level 3, or PTE Academic 59+), unless exempt. No Italian-language requirement applies to this English-taught programme.

No formal written entrance exam is specified for the Master's programme itself (a 'TOLC/OFA CISIA Test' is listed in the programme's site navigation, but based on the available page content this appears tied to bachelor-level OFA/prerequisite obligations rather than a Master's admission test — could not be confirmed as applicable to this Master's programme). Admission is via document-based curricular evaluation by the Enrolling Commission; if no English certificate is submitted, an interview is held specifically to verify English-language knowledge (see language_requirements).

Programme-level application deadlines specific to Data Science are not published on the programme's own cdl.unime.it site; the six university-wide sequential admission calls (from international.unime.it) are used instead per the shared task instructions and are assumed to apply, since the programme falls under 'English-taught & Italian-taught Bachelor's and Master's Degrees' in each call's scope — this is why application_deadline_eu and application_deadline_non_eu are marked uncertain.
