• Entry Degree: A bachelor's degree, Graduate Diploma, or another suitable foreign qualification recognized as appropriate for admission.
• Direct Degree Classes: The curricular requirements are automatically satisfied with an Italian degree in class L-13 Biological Sciences, L-32 Science and Technology for the Environment and Nature, or L-2 Biotechnology.
• Alternative Route: Applicants with another degree class may be admitted if they hold at least 66 credits in basic biological disciplines, 12 credits in basic chemical disciplines, and 15 credits in basic mathematical, physical, and computer disciplines, and if their degree mark is at least 100/110.

• General Rule: For programmes taught in English, fluency in the language is required and the University of Siena requires at least B2 English proficiency.
• Programme Specific Rule: The BCEQ admission document requires certification of English knowledge at B2 level and states that personal preparation is verified through a test or interview in English.

• English-language proof required by the programme, unless an official exemption applies.

• For the programme-specific EU assessment route through the Secretariat Online "Assessment Test" procedure, the BCEQ page also requires the "Request form for evaluation for admission to 2nd level degree courses" to be attached during the online procedure.
