Kampüs

Udine (Sede: Udine). Teaching is hosted by DPIA - Polytechnic Department of Engineering and Architecture, Via delle Scienze 206, 33100 Udine, Italy. No branch or partner campus outside Udine (the Kyoto Institute of Technology link is a double-degree mobility option, not a delivery campus).

Derece Sınıfı

LM-31 / LM-33

Kabul Tipi

Open access (accesso libero). No entrance ranking test, no numerus clausus, no TOLC and no SAT. Admission is by verification of curricular requirements plus an assessment of personal preparation by the programme's Advisor / didactic committee. For applicants with a foreign qualification, admission runs through a compulsory online pre-evaluation (prior assessment) on the Elix-Forms platform, which functions as a rolling, committee-based screening rather than a competitive selection.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

English. Fully English-taught. The UNIUD course record states 'Lingua di erogazione: Inglese', the microsite states the programme is 'entirely taught in English', and UNIUD's Additional Notice to the Study Prospectus 2026/2027 lists it first in the 'List of Master's degree courses taught entirely in English'.

Başvuru takvimi

AB / AEA adayları

10/09/2026 (10 September 2026), with the window opening 01/02/2026. Applies to prospective students residing in an EU country and/or holding a foreign qualification, applying through the Elix-Forms pre-evaluation platform: 'Applications for admission to master's degree courses taught in Italian and in English must be submitted on the Elix-Forms platform between 01/02/2026 and 10/09/2026.' Because the Advisor Committee meets monthly and enrolment closes 5 October 2026, applying late in this window leaves very little margin for the 30-working-day decision plus enrolment; early application is strongly advisable. Applicants holding an Italian bachelor's degree do not use Elix-Forms - they follow the ordinary domestic immatricolazione procedure within the 9 July - 5 October 2026 enrolment window.

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

31/05/2026 (31 May 2026), with the window opening 01/02/2026. Applies to prospective students residing in a non-EU country who need a study visa: 'Applications for admission to Master's degree courses taught in Italian or English must be submitted through the Elix-Forms platform between 01/02/2026 and 31/05/2026.' This closes more than three months before the EU deadline, to leave time for the eligibility letter, Universitaly pre-enrolment and the consular visa procedure.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş
  • A Bachelor's degree (first-cycle / laurea triennale) with a major in engineering.
  • Italian qualification route: a Bachelor's degree of class L-9 (Industrial Engineering) is required, with at least 45 CFU/ECTS in the basic-training scientific-disciplinary sectors (SSD: CHIM/03, CHIM/07, FIS/01, FIS/03, INF/01, ING-INF/05, MAT/02, MAT/03, MAT/05, MAT/06, MAT/07, MAT/08, MAT/09, SECS-S/01, SECS-S/02) and at least 80 CFU in the characterising sectors (FIS/04, ICAR/01, ICAR/03, ICAR/08, ING-IND/01 to ING-IND/35, ING-INF/04, ING-INF/06, ING-INF/07). For a.y. 2026/27 the SSD list in force before D.M. 639/2024 applies. Applicants short of the minimum credits must make them up before enrolment by passing additional single courses (corsi singoli).
  • Foreign qualification route: a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, covering a broad range of industrial disciplines (e.g. Chemical, Mechanical, Process & Environment, Energy, Materials Science, Manufacturing). The foreign first-cycle degree must be official, issued by an accredited institution within its own education system, and must give access to equivalent second-cycle courses in that system. Minimum GPA requirement: the final grade of the bachelor degree must be not less than 3/4 of the maximum possible.
Dil yeterliliği
  • English: certified knowledge at B2 level or equivalent on the CEFR scale is required. The certificate must clearly state the achieved level.
  • Accepted certificate providers (UNIUD official list): Cambridge English Language Assessment; Trinity College London; IELTS; TOEFL; Pearson Edexcel - Test of English Academic (PTE Academic); Pearson General English; Oxford Test of English; LanguageCert International ESOL; Gatehouse Awards Classic; British Council - Aptis ESOL General; British Council - Aptis ESOL Advanced.
  • Exemptions: applicants who completed a school programme taught in English (IB diplomas, multilingual schools, etc.) and native English speakers (per the UK gov.uk English-speaking-country list) are exempt from submitting a B2 certificate.
Sınav / değerlendirme

No competitive entrance examination (no TOLC, no CEnT-S, no SAT, no written admission test). What exists is (a) an assessment of personal preparation by the didactic committee, possibly through a test or interview, and (b) for international applicants an online pre-evaluation by the Academic/Advisor Committee, which may include an online interview - notably to test English proficiency when no language certificate is provided. The Advisor Committee meets on a monthly basis whenever student applications are present (rolling admission).

  • 1) NON-EU RESERVED PLACES - unresolved. The 2026/2027 Additional Notice confirms a per-course non-EU quota exists and points to 'Annex 1 of this Notice', but Annex 1 is not included in the published 9-page PDF (either language version) and no standalone 2026/2027 Annex 1 file was located anywhere on uniud.it. Only an older 24/25 annex URL is indexed by search engines and it no longer resolves to a document. The exact reserved number for this programme is therefore unknown and should be requested from studenti@uniud.it. 2) DEGREE-CLASS CHOICE TIMING - partly unresolved. LM-31 / LM-33 interclass status is confirmed on official pages, and the course description ties Track M / the Mechanical Engineering track to LM-33 for double-degree eligibility. But no official UNIUD page states explicitly when the student's class is formally fixed (at enrolment, at study-plan submission, or at graduation). The research brief's assumption that it is chosen at graduation is plausible for Italian interclass degrees but was not verifiable from official sources. 3) NO INTERATENEO/JOINT EXCEPTION APPLIES. Unlike some other programmes in this dataset, this one is administered entirely by UNIUD. There is no partner university seat handling admission or fees. The Kyoto Institute of Technology relationship is an optional double-degree mobility agreement for LM-33-track students only; students still enrol at, pay fees to, and are admitted by UNIUD. Do not treat it as a joint-degree admission route. 4) TWO DIFFERENT DEADLINE FAMILIES MUST NOT BE MERGED. (a) Elix-Forms pre-evaluation: 01/02/2026-10/09/2026 for EU residents, 01/02/2026-31/05/2026 for non-EU residents. (b) Universitaly pre-enrolment for the study visa: 30 June 2026, non-EU only, later than the Elix-Forms non-EU deadline but earlier than the EU one. (c) Immatricolazione (actual enrolment): 9 July - 5 October 2026 12:00, extendable to 31 March 2027. These are three separate gates. 5) MICROSITE VS. CENTRAL PAGES. The dedicated microsite is the richest source on the academic profile but is silent on deadlines, fees, required documents, the €20 application fee, the 3/4 GPA rule and the 5-year certificate validity. All of those live only in the central UNIUD Additional Notice. The microsite is also silent on whether the course is accesso libero - that is confirmed only on the Italian UNIUD course record. Treat the central pages as authoritative for procedure and the microsite as authoritative for academic content. 6) MINIMUM GPA WORDING. The requirement is expressed as a proportion ('not less than 3/4 of the maximum possible'), not as a fixed grade, so it must be computed against each country's own grading maximum. For an Italian 110-scale degree this is 82.5/110, which is below the separate 90/110 exemption threshold for the personal-preparation interview - two different thresholds that are easy to confuse. 7) ENGLISH CERTIFICATE TIMING NUANCE. A pre-evaluation may be submitted without the certificate (if awaiting the exam or its issuance), and the Committee may substitute an online interview when no certificate exists. But the Notice also states obtaining the certificate 'remains a necessary requirement for completing enrolment', and the Universitaly document list requires a B2 English certificate for English-taught courses. For non-EU visa applicants these two statements are in practical tension: the interview route may satisfy academic pre-evaluation while the Universitaly/consular stage may still expect a certificate. Applicants without a certificate should confirm with studenti@uniud.it before relying on the interview route. 8) OFA. UNIUD applies no OFA (additional learning obligations) at master's level for this course; credit shortfalls must be cleared before enrolment via 'corsi singoli'. If a field elsewhere in this dataset expects an OFA threshold, the correct value here is 'not applicable'. 9) ACADEMIC YEAR SCOPE. All dates above are for a.y. 2026/2027, current as verified on 6 Eylül 2026. The EU Elix-Forms window (to 10/09/2026) is closing within days of this verification date; the non-EU window (31/05/2026) and the Universitaly deadline (30/06/2026) have already passed for 2026/2027. Figures must be re-verified for 2027/2028, when a new Additional Notice is published (UNIUD publishes the Prospectus annually, historically in June). 10) EXCLUDED FIELD BUNDLE (recorded here per fields.yaml note, not as separate fields): application platform = Elix-Forms (per-programme link https://goto.uniud.it/to/623), with payment via PagoPA; application fee = €20.00 non-refundable; tuition = €16.00 (fee-waiver eligible) to €2,026.00 (full fee) per year, ISEE-based waivers described on the tuition page; minimum GPA = final bachelor grade not less than 3/4 of the maximum possible; selection interview = not automatic, arranged by the Advisor Committee if needed (notably when no English certificate is provided); dedicated programme website = https://industrial-engineering-sustainable-manufacturing.uniud.it ; double-degree partner = Kyoto Institute of Technology (Japan), 'International MASC in Mechanical Engineering', LM-33 / Mechanical Engineering track only, selective.
