Kampüs

Udine (Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics - DMIF, University of Udine). Students on the double-degree track may spend part of the programme (typically the second year) at Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, Austria; the Udine campus remains the home/administrative campus.

Derece Sınıfı

LM-18

Kabul Tipi

Selection call / restricted by course quota. Formally the programme is not a nationally or locally regulated "numero programmato" course with an admission test (it is not in the list of courses requiring a TOLC or a national/local quota admission test), but the Manifesto degli studi fixes a course quota of 45 places per year allocated in chronological order on a rolling basis. Admission is decided by an academic committee on the basis of curricular requirements, transcript evaluation and an online selection interview.

Resmî Eğitim Dili

Fully English. The 2026/27 Manifesto degli studi for the Scienze Matematiche, Informatiche, Multimediali e Fisiche area states "Activated years of the course; all. Taught in English." and Annex 1 to the international admission notice lists it as "ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & CYBERSECURITY erogato in inglese" with no Italian level required. The programme page adds that classes are offered in English and possibly online in both partner institutions.

Başvuru takvimi

AB / AEA adayları

Pre-evaluation applications for applicants resident in EU and equivalent countries: 01/02/2026 to 10/09/2026 on the Elix-Forms platform. Additional Notice (EU candidates), a.a. 2026/2027: "Applications for admission to master's degree courses taught in Italian and in English must be submitted on the Elix-Forms platform between 01/02/2026 and 10/09/2026." Note that the English programme page carries a generic template sentence advising application "before 31st May", which reflects the earlier non-EU deadline; EU-resident applicants have until 10 September 2026. Because places are allocated on a rolling chronological basis up to the 45-place quota, applying early is advisable.

AB / AEA dışı adaylar

Pre-evaluation applications for applicants resident in non-EU countries: 01/02/2026 to 31/05/2026 on the Elix-Forms platform. Additional Notice (non-EU candidates), a.a. 2026/2027: "Applications for admission to Master's degree courses taught in Italian or English must be submitted through the Elix-Forms platform between 01/02/2026 and 31/05/2026." This is consistent with the programme page's instruction to apply "before 31st May" for enrolment in the following academic year. The pre-evaluation application carries a non-refundable €20.00 fee payable via PagoPA (or, in specific cases, bank transfer); only applications with the fee duly paid are evaluated.

Kabul koşulları

Akademik geçmiş

Applicants must hold a three-year bachelor's degree (or an equivalent foreign qualification recognised as suitable) and meet one of the following curricular requirements: (a) a degree in Italian class L-31 (Scienze e tecnologie informatiche / Computer Science) or L-8 (Ingegneria dell'Informazione / Information Engineering), or the former classes 26 (Informatica) or 9 (Ingegneria dell'Informazione) under D.M. 509/99, or an equivalent foreign degree; or (b) at least 24 university credits (ECTS/CFU) already acquired in Computer Science (INF/01, ING-INF/05) and Mathematics & Statistics (MAT, SECS-S) subjects. For international applicants the admission notice specifies a bachelor degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, with a minimum GPA: "The final grade of the bachelor degree must be not less than 3/4 of the maximum possible." Applicants with degrees in any other scientific area (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics) can also be considered and may be admitted to the online pre-evaluation interview. The programme page expresses the same threshold as a final mark "not less than 90/110 for italian degree or equivalent foreign degree with a grade of not less than 3/4 of the maximum possible", and expects theoretical/methodological skills in mathematics (calculus, discrete mathematics and logic, probability and statistics, numerical analysis) and theoretical/practical skills in computer science (programming languages and programming, computer architecture, operating systems, algorithms and data structures, software engineering, databases). Candidates who have not yet completed their bachelor's degree but expect to graduate by the end of October may still apply, with enrolment conditional on degree conferral by the deadline.

Dil yeterliliği

English at B2 level of the CEFR, certified. Annex 1 to the 2026/2027 international notice requires English B2 for this programme and requires no Italian level ("-"), since the programme is taught entirely in English. The access-requirements page states that adequate skills in the relevant disciplinary areas are needed "nonché la capacità di utilizzare la lingua inglese ad un livello equiparabile al B2 verificate da una apposita commissione del Consiglio di corso di studi". Accepted certificates listed in the additional notice: Cambridge English Language Assessment; Trinity College London; IELTS; TOEFL; Pearson Edexcel - Test of English Academic (PTE Academic); Pearson General English; Oxford Test of English; LanguageCert International ESOL; Gatehouse Awards Classic; British Council - Aptis ESOL General; British Council - Aptis ESOL Advanced. Certificates must clearly indicate the level achieved. Exemptions: applicants who completed a school programme taught in English (IB diplomas, multilingual schools, etc.) and native English speakers (per the UK gov.uk English-language exemption list) are exempt from submitting a B2 certificate. If no B2 certificate is held, "the competent Academic Committee may assess English language skills through an online interview." It is possible to submit the pre-evaluation application without the certificate if the applicant is awaiting the exam or the issuance of the certificate, but obtaining the certificate remains a necessary requirement to complete enrolment. Non-EU applicants must also attach an English B2 certificate to the Universitaly pre-enrolment application for a course taught in English. No Italian language certificate is required for admission to this programme.

Sınav / değerlendirme

No standardised written entrance exam (no TOLC, no SAT, no national/local admission test). Selection is by academic committee assessment of the previous academic career (transcript, CV, syllabi) plus an online selection interview. [uncertain: whether the interview is mandatory for every applicant. The English programme page states "Selection interview for each interested student" (which may be held physically in Udine or virtually), whereas the Manifesto degli studi and the Italian access-requirements page describe it as an "eventuale prova o colloquio" / "a potential interview (if deemed necessary)", and the Italian rules exempt candidates with a graduation mark of at least 90/110 from the test/interview. In practice international pre-evaluation applicants should expect an online interview.]

Hazırlanacak belgeler

  • For the online pre-evaluation on the Elix-Forms platform (second-cycle courses taught in Italian or English, both EU and non-EU notices): (a) foreign final or provisional university degree (bachelor); (b) list of completed exams / transcript of records / diploma supplement of that degree; (c) descriptions of single subjects / syllabus of the bachelor degree; (d) valid passport; (e) updated curriculum vitae; (f) CIMEA Statements or Declaration of Value for the foreign bachelor degree; (g) required language certificate. Items (f) and (g) may also be submitted after the online pre-evaluation procedure, but are required for the final enrolment procedure at the University of Udine. Recognition of the foreign degree is obtained either via a Declaration of Value from the Italian Embassy/Consulate in the awarding country, or via CIMEA Statements requested through the diplome platform (registration at the CIMEA MyWallet portal); holders of an ARDI Statement of Correspondence (for the 55 Lisbon Recognition Convention signatory countries) must still request the CIMEA Verification Statement. Additionally: a €20.00 non-refundable pre-evaluation fee paid via PagoPA. For non-EU visa applicants, the Universitaly pre-enrolment additionally requires a valid passport, a passport-sized photograph, the first-cycle university degree, and an English B2 (or equivalent) certificate. Applicants holding an Italian qualification instead send a CV and academic transcript to aics.admission@uniud.it. At final enrolment via uniud-esse3: identity document, Italian tax code (codice fiscale), residence/study permit for non-EU students, the first two signed pages of the enrolment application, proof of payment of the first tuition instalment, curriculum self-certification form, and foreign-degree documentation.

  • 1) Formal access label: UNIUD documents do not consistently classify this programme as "accesso libero" or "accesso programmato locale". It is absent from the official lists of nationally and locally regulated courses requiring an admission test, yet the Manifesto degli studi imposes a hard 45-place annual quota filled chronologically on a rolling basis, and admission depends on committee approval. Treat it as a capped, rolling, committee-selected admission rather than either pure open access or a ranked numerus clausus. 2) Relationship between the 45-place course quota and the 8 non-EU reserved places is not stated anywhere in the 2026/2027 documents found: it is unclear whether the 8 non-EU places are carved out of the 45 or added on top. Annex 1 quotas at Italian universities are normally a sub-quota of the overall course quota, but this is an inference, not an official statement for this programme. 3) Conflicting descriptions of the interview: the English programme page says a selection interview is held for each interested student, while the Manifesto degli studi and the Italian access-requirements page describe the test/interview as optional ("eventuale prova o colloquio" / "if deemed necessary") and the Italian rules exempt candidates graduating with at least 90/110 from it. The non-EU notice mentions the online pre-evaluation interview explicitly only for candidates coming from non-Computer-Science scientific areas and for candidates lacking an English B2 certificate. 4) Deadline mismatch on the programme page: the English programme page carries a template sentence advising application "before 31st May 20xy", which matches the non-EU Elix-Forms window but is earlier than the 10/09/2026 deadline that the EU notice grants to EU/equivalent residents. The additional notices (official calls) are the authoritative source; the programme page is generic and not year-specific. 5) Two distinct rolling constraints exist and can bite before the formal deadlines: places are allocated in chronological order until the 45-place quota is full, and non-EU visa applicants must also complete Universitaly pre-enrolment by 30 June 2026. A candidate can therefore be effectively locked out well before 5 October 2026. 6) Not an inter-university (interateneo) Italian programme: UNIUD is the sole administrative seat. Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt is a double-degree partner only; the Klagenfurt track adds UNI-KLU thesis submission/assessment/publication rules on top of UNIUD rules, and the number of double-degree places and any separate selection for that track were not published on uniud.it pages reviewed. 7) Do not confuse this programme with the LM-18/LM-19 "Comunicazione Multimediale e Tecnologie dell'Informazione" degree at the same department, which has a separate international curriculum (Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Automation and Internet of Things) with 10 places and its own Klagenfurt double degree in Information and Communications Engineering. 8) Fields outside the agreed schema found incidentally and recorded here rather than as structured fields: application platform is Elix-Forms (pre-evaluation entry point published as https://goto.uniud.it/to/621, with an official "Application Presentation Guide" PDF at https://www.uniud.it/en/uniud-international/International_Students/contenuti-linkati/guide_application-presentation_eng.pdf); the pre-evaluation fee is €20.00 non-refundable via PagoPA; the minimum GPA requirement is a bachelor final grade of at least 3/4 of the maximum (equivalently 90/110 in the Italian system); a selection interview is required at least for some applicant categories; the double-degree partner is Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt; late enrolment after 5 October 2026 requires a €16.00 revenue-stamp request. Exact tuition amounts and ISEE-based reductions were not extracted - see the fee pages linked in tuition_or_fees_link. 9) Annex 1 (contingente extra-UE 2026/2027) is not linked from the English-language non-EU documentation page; it was reached through the Italian "prima arrivo" page. If the 8-place figure is checked later, use the Italian Annex 1 PDF URL given in official_call_url.
