Local ranking published on 26 October 2026. Foreign secondary-school documents due by 30 December 2026 (30 March 2027 if the visa is issued late). MUR circular A.Y. 2026/27: visa applications by 30 November 2026 at the latest. Secondary-school diploma (bando art. 3: 'È requisito di ammissione il diploma di istruzione secondaria superiore'). Foreign titles: valid if obtained after at least 12 years of schooling and giving access to university in the issuing country, accompanied by a 'Dichiarazione di Valore' from the Italian diplomatic mission or a CIMEA 'Attestato di Comparabilità'. EU/non-EU-in-Italy candidates enter the national ranking only with at least 20 points in the test; non-EU candidates residing abroad need a score above zero (at least one answer given). Admitted students with a score below 27 get additional learning obligations (OFA) in Biology, Chemistry and Physics to be recovered in the first year. Source: Cagliari bando A.Y. 2026/27.

English certificates listed in Annex 3 of Decree n. 1005/2026 (Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL, Trinity, Pearson, etc., at levels B2 to C2, e.g. IELTS 5.5-6.5 = B2, TOEFL 87-109 = B2) may be declared at Universitaly registration; they only count as a tie-break when scores are equal ('prevale il possesso ... delle certificazioni linguistiche'). Self-declared under DPR 445/2000; must be held by the registration closing date. [uncertain: minimum level counted for the tie-break and whether Cagliari asks for proof at enrolment were not found; no Italian-language test is mentioned in the bando for this English course.]

National admission test in English (Decree MUR n. 1005 of 6 Aug 2026), same content at all venues: Tuesday 29 September 2026, start 13:30 Italian time, 100 minutes, 60 multiple-choice questions (5 options): 4 reading skills/general knowledge, 5 logical reasoning and problems, 23 biology, 15 chemistry, 13 physics and mathematics. Minimum 20 points for the national ranking (EU/non-EU in Italy); OFA if score below 27. Tie-break: subject-section scores, then declared English certificate (Annex 3 of the decree). Venues: Italian universities or foreign venues listed in Tabella A of the decree (Cagliari venue notices on https://segreterie.unica.it/medicinaechirurgia/ammissioni-medicine-and-surgery/).

  • 1) Year used: A.Y. 2026/27 throughout (bando published 27 Aug 2026, MUR Decree n. 1005 of 6 Aug 2026). 2) The Cagliari page https://web.unica.it/unica/it/studenti_s01_ss07.page still showed this course as 'in aggiornamento per l'anno accademico 2026/2027' with no bando PDF, while the course page and the bando page already publish the 2026/27 call - treated as a stale listing; the official bando PDF and the MUR decree agree with each other (98 seats = 80 + 16 + 2; Tabella B 80 + 18). 3) Non-EU: Cagliari's own Universitaly pre-enrolment deadline and the start of the local-ranking application are not published (page shows 'in attesa di definizione'); confirm with segrstudmedicina@unica.it / foreignstudents@unica.it. The Cagliari page still mentions 'IMAT' wording from earlier years; the 2026/27 test is the MUR national English-language test of 29 Sep 2026 (registration already closed on 9 Sep 2026). 4) Fees: the bando cites the student contribution regulation D.R. n. 685/2026 but no medicine-specific fee table was read; the general tuition page is given as link only. 5) Language certificates: Annex 3 lists certificates and levels but the minimum level counted for tie-breaks and any proof required at enrolment were not verified. 6) Document lists for foreign titles: only the bando's summary was read; the sub-pages of the Medicine secretariat ('Iscriversi con un titolo estero', 'Riconoscimento titolo estero') were not opened. 7) DB differences: DB level 'bachelor' must become single-cycle (LM-41, 6 years); DB name 'Medicine and Surgery' matches the English name; DB campus/city 'Cagliari' should be refined to Monserrato (Cagliari metropolitan area); db_school_website was a Google search link (and pointed at the Business and Economics search) - use https://www.unica.it or the course page. 8) Pages were read through automatic page/PDF text extraction of official sites; no bot protection or Wayback copies were involved. 9) The national 'semestre filtro' (Law 26/2025) reform applies to the Italian-language Medicine course; the English-language course keeps the separate national test in 2026/27 per Decree n. 1005 (not further investigated).
