Enrolment in open-access undergraduate degree courses is open from 13 July 2026 to 17 December 2026. The TOLC-E may be re-sat no later than 25 October to avoid or clear the Mathematics OFA. Requests for tuition-fee exemption or reduction must be submitted by 17 December 2026.
Non-EU candidates resident abroad must submit and complete their study-visa / pre-enrolment request on the Universitaly portal by 31 August 2026, selecting University of Brescia and this programme, and must additionally pass the Italian language test (CISIA TEST-ITALIANO-L2) unless exempt. The university enrolment window itself remains 13 July - 17 December 2026. The Universitaly visa deadline is separate from, and earlier than, the enrolment deadline and must not be conflated with it. (The 15 March 2026 noon PICA pre-assessment deadline applies to master's degrees, not to this bachelor's programme.)
A high school diploma (Italian upper-secondary leaving qualification) or a qualification obtained abroad and recognised as suitable under current Italian regulations. Possession of the prerequisites for successfully attending the course is verified at the start of the first year through the compulsory TOLC-E entrance test, focused on basic mathematics. Standard Italian bachelor's structure: 180 CFU over three years. Because the first two years are taught in Italian, applicants must be able to study in Italian from the outset; the English-medium component only begins in the third year. Applicants with foreign qualifications must have their qualification assessed for suitability by the International Students Office.
ITALIAN is the primary admission language requirement. Admission of foreign students is regulated by the Italian Ministry of University and Research 'Regulations for access of foreign students to university courses', which set out the procedures for verifying Italian language knowledge and the conditions for exemption. Non-EU candidates must prove Italian at CEFR level B2; for a.y. 2026/2027 the University of Brescia uses the CISIA TEST-ITALIANO-L2, held online in @CASA mode (from home or another location, via the CISIA portal on a personal computer or through the WEBEX virtual room on a smartphone). The registration fee is EUR 25 and the pass mark is 55/72. Only candidates who have already submitted their visa/pre-enrolment request on the Universitaly portal and selected a University of Brescia study programme are admitted to the test. IMPORTANT: the exemption from the Italian language test that applies to entirely English-taught programmes does NOT apply here, because this programme is only partially in English (third year). No specific English certificate (e.g. B2) is documented as an admission requirement, but students will need working English to follow the third year, which is delivered in English.
Compulsory, non-selective, orientative entrance test: TOLC-E (Test Online CISIA per l'Economia), administered in Italian by CISIA and sittable at any CISIA-consortium university, on university premises or from home in TOLC@CASA mode. Its purpose is to verify basic preparation - principally mathematics - at the start of the first year. It does not rank, cap, or exclude candidates: the course has free access and an insufficient result does not prevent enrolment in the degree programme or attendance of classes. Outcome: at least 4/13 in the Mathematics section means enrolment without an Additional Educational Obligation (OFA); below that threshold, or if the test is not sat, an OFA in Mathematics is assigned and must subsequently be cleared. The test may be repeated at any CISIA-associated university, even after enrolment, no later than 25 October, to avoid attribution of the Mathematics OFA. No interview or personal-preparation assessment is documented.
High school diploma / foreign upper-secondary qualification; academic transcripts and certificates; TOLC-E result; proof of Italian language proficiency (CISIA TEST-ITALIANO-L2 pass at 55/72 or higher, or an accepted exemption under the Ministry's regulations for foreign students). For candidates holding foreign qualifications: documents legalised by the competent foreign authorities or bearing the Apostille stamp, plus either a Declaration of Value (Dichiarazione di Valore) issued by the Italian diplomatic representation or, as an alternative, a CIMEA Statement of Comparability; where required, a CIMEA Statement of Verification may substitute for legalisation. CIMEA statements are obtained via the Diplome online platform. The university recommends uploading diploma and certificates in Italian, French or English to speed up evaluation. International students must book an appointment with the International Students Office. Non-EU candidates abroad additionally need the Universitaly pre-enrolment/visa application.
